This article is about “Chords christmas time in new orleans”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Chords christmas time in new orleans”:

A few years ago House Of The Rising Sun was voted number 122 on the Rolling Stone magazine 500 Greatest Songs Of All Time. If you learn to play this song, even you just play the intro, people are going to recognise you for the cool dude you really are. This is a song that has been around for about a hundred years or so. It was first recorded in 1933, and recorded again by several country and folk artists over the years until the definitive version of House Of The Rising Sun Was recorded in 1964 by English group Eric Burdon And The Animals. The song was recorded in one take while the group were on the road in England as a support for Chuck Berry, and the spine tingling intro to the song was played by guitarist Hilton Valentine on a Rickenbacker 330 guitar. Many people say that it was the first time a folk song was recorded by a rock group.

The guitar chords for the song are simple and you can learn the chord sequence in a few minutes, then spend a few years fooling around with arpeggios and strumming patterns and whatnot. So the chords are A minor, C major, D major, F major and E major. To get the feeling of the recording by The Animals just play each chord as an arpeggio like this A minor chord:

E ——————————-

B ——————1————

G ————-2——–2———

D ———2—————-2—–

A –0—————————–

E ——————————–

If you are familiar with the original record you will know that the arpeggio pattern used by Hilton Valentine contains a few more notes but if you are play using a pick you will be able to work out what he is doing. There are video clips of the animals performing the song on YouTube.

Okay, so here is a basic guide to how the chords for House Of The Rising Sun fit in with the lyrics.

Am C D F

There is a house in New Orleans

Am C E E

They call the Rising Sun

Am C D F

And it’s been the ruin of many a poor boy

Am E Am

And God I know I’m one

JUST REPEAT THE CHORD SEQUENCE FOR THE REST OF THE VERSES

My mother was a tailor

She sewed my new blue jeans

My father was a gamblin’ man

Down in New Orleans

Now the only thing a gambler needs

Is a suitcase and trunk

And the only time he’s satisfied

Is when he’s on a drunk

Oh mother tell your children

Not to do what I have done

Spend your lives in sin and misery

In the House of the Rising Sun

Well, I got one foot on the platform

The other foot on the train

I’m goin’ back to New Orleans

To wear that ball and chain

Well, there is a house in New Orleans

They call the Rising Sun

And it’s been the ruin of many a poor boy

And God I know I’m one

If you search around the internet you will find some slightly different versions, but I would suggest you use what I have given you here as a basis for your own trademark rendition.

This article is about “Michael sandel justice juvenile justice”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Michael sandel justice juvenile justice”:

Few people know this, but our age is an amazing time for people who love philosophy.

When I was in college 30 years ago, philosophy was strictly an academic exercise and there were few resources available for people, like me, who view philosophy more as a way of life or avocation than as a job.

Today, however, all that has changed.

There are three or four excellent “magazines” about philosophy – such as Philosophy Now and The Philosopher’s Magazine – that are filled with funny, off-beat, irreverent articles about philosophical topics. A number of top-rate publishing houses, mostly in the UK, such as Routledge and Blackwell Publishing, produce books aimed at a general philosophical readership.

There are philosophy radio programs such as Philosophy Talk, coffee houses, salons, adult education classes and literally hundreds of websites for the interested reader. There are even philosophy comic books, such as LogiComix about the life of British logician Bertrand Russell. It’s simply amazing. It’s a golden age of philosophy, I think.

The irony, however, is that there is still no solid consensus on what, precisely, philosophy actually is. In its historical and etymological sense, philosophy is literally “love (philia) of wisdom (Sophia),” and that is always how I have looked upon it. Philosophy, for me, is the attempt to reflect upon experience in order to understand more about life and how we are to live. My aims, like those of Socrates, are primarily practical: I want to understand the world and myself to live better.

Today, there are three, perhaps four major “schools” or approaches to philosophy, each with their own journals, intellectual heroes and methodologies. It is one of the scandals of contemporary philosophy that these schools are somewhat incommensurable, meaning they are so different in their approaches and ideals they are almost incapable of speaking to one another. It’s as though organic chemistry and 17th century French literature are forced to share the same offices and pretend they are the same discipline (I exaggerate but you get the point).

The first approach may be called, for lack of a better word, Traditional Philosophy: this is the approach now largely taught only in Catholic universities. It is primarily historical in orientation, a “history of philosophy” style in which students study the thought of, say, the ancient Greeks, and Descartes, the British empiricists, Kant, Hegel and so on. There is very little attempt to think through how the thought of these philosophical greats can be reconciled. The idea appears to be that by working through all of these great thinkers, eventually the student will come to his or her own philosophical conclusions — although there is really no fixed “method” or approach given for doing so. I always think of this as the University of Chicago or Great Books approach. A variation of this approach is Catholic philosophy, including various schools of Thomism (such as the Transcendental Thomism of Merechal, Karl Rahner and, my guru, Bernard J.F. Lonergan)

The second major approach to philosophy today is what is known as Continental Philosophy. This is the philosophy that is most commonly taught in Europe and, again, in some Catholic universities in the U.S. In practice, it means primarily the philosophical systems of phenomenology, existentialism, so-called “critical theory” and their postmodern descendants. When I was in college, this is what I studied (in addition to traditional philosophy). We read the classic texts of phenomenology as well as such trendy philosophers as Jean-Paul Sartre, Merleau-Ponty, Heidegger, Karl Jaspers, Max Scheler, Edith Stein and others. Today, those names have largely been replaced by those of postmodern French thinkers such as Michel Foucault, Jacques Derrida, Jean Baudrillard, Jean-François Lyotard. While classical Husserlian phenomenology does attempt to “solve” major philosophical problems and actually be a descriptive science, in practice students of Continental Philosophy, like their Traditional Philosophy counterparts, spend much of their time studying the works of individual thinkers and writing papers on aspects of their thought. (There is a greater interest in Continental Philosophy in social and political questions, however.)

The third and allegedly dominant approach to philosophy today is Analytic Philosophy. This is the philosophy most commonly taught in the UK and in major U.S. universities. Built upon the infrastructure of British empiricists such as David Hume, Analytic Philosophy appeared in the early 20th century through the work of such thinkers as Bertrand Russell, Gottlob Frege, G.E. Moore and Ludwig Wittgenstein. When I was in college, I found Analytic Philosophy to be mostly unintelligible gibberish. The emphasis on symbolic logic and the solving of trivial intellectual “puzzles” was, to me, an absurd waste of time.

In the past few years, however, I’ve been reading more about Analytic Philosophy and I am now much more impressed. Analytic Philosophy has matured over the past few decades and is now more of a philosophical “style” than it is a collection of doctrines. The style is more like that of my hero, Bernard J.F. Lonergan, in that Analytic Philosophy is much more interested in actually solving philosophical problems than it is in clarifying the thought of past philosophers. Thus, Analytic Philosophy is characterized by a thematic, rather than a “history of philosophy,” approach. It uses or creates a specialized technical vocabulary to elucidate the various “options” available in any given philosophical issue — marshals the evidence in favor or against those options — and then attempts to actually “settle” the issue. It’s actually quite refreshing.

The only problem with Analytic Philosophy from the perspective of a traditional philosopher or “lover of wisdom” is that it’s still focused primarily on trivial problems or mere puzzles (perhaps because those are the easiest ones to “solve”). Academic analytic philosophy is often little more than “chloroform in print,” boring to the point of dispatching its readers into a catatonic stupor. The cure for this tedium has been, over the past several years, the appearance of those popular philosophy journals and publishing houses I mentioned earlier. Precisely because they are aiming at a wider audience, the popular philosophy authors have to turn their attention to the Big Issues that interest real people – and thus are forced by the market to abandon the tedium beloved by academics and use their philosophical skills to address topics people actually care about. An example of how wonderful this can be is a book I am reading right now, Michael Sandel’s magisterial Justice. It’s clear, concise, lays open the various options available on contentious issues, concerns serious subjects (what is justice?) and doesn’t resort to pretentious displays of symbolic logic to make its points.

These days, I mostly read good Catholic philosophy (such as can be found in the American Catholic Philosophical Quarterly or Method: A Journal of Lonergan Studies ) and “popular” analytic books such as Justice or those produced by Routledge. I still can’t read academic analytic philosophy journals. I tried subscribing to Faith and Philosophy, the (mostly analytic) journal of the Society of Christian Philosophers, but found it deadly dull and exhibiting the worst aspects of analytic pretentiousness. Here’s a sample, taken from John Turri’s essay, “Practical and Epistemic Justification in Alston’s Perceiving God” (July 2008, p. 290):

“Alston’s thesis is that putative perceptions of God often justify beliefs about God. A subject S has a putative perception of God when S has an experience e in which it seems to S that God appears to S as P. If, based on e, S forms the “M-belief” that God is P, then S has a justified belief that God is P. An M-belief is a belief that God is P, which is based on a putative perception of God. (I will often substitute ‘q’ for the proposition that God is P.) I dunno. My reaction to writing like that is the same as George Will’s: Just because life is absurd that doesn’t mean philosophy should be as well.

I don’t mean to pick on John Turri, whom I am sure is a great guy and a lot smarter than I am. But this sort of stuff is meant solely for professional philosophers in universities — and is largely what turns people off to philosophy as an academic discipline. If Socrates had spoken like that, they probably would have forced him to drink hemlock much earlier and philosophy would never have gotten off the ground.

This article is about “Post brazilian wax maintainence”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Post brazilian wax maintainence”:

First, you must be sure that you want to get a brazilian bikini wax. Consider trying first the standard bikini wax which will remove the hair from your bikini line or the full bikini which will remove most of your pubic hair apart from the most sensitive areas. A brazilian bikini wax removes ALL your pubic hair.

We advise you to get your first brazilian bikini wax by a professional. Many women who try to give themselves a brazilian bikini wax, cause damage and their bikini area looks worse after the brazilian wax.

You could find a salon that offers a brazilian bikini wax in any big US city. Just look in the “Yellow pages” or in any search engine for “brazilian wax” + “name of your city”.

After locating a salon, find out how many brazilian waxes they do a week? Make sure that the persons who are responsible for the brazilian bikini wax are experienced. Ask to talk to customers that got a brazilian bikini wax from the same salon.

Open your purse. A brazilian bikini wax may cost up to 100 US dollars. However, the average cost is about 50 bucks. We advice you pay not less than the average price to get a professional treatment.

Come to your scheduled treatment with a good mood after taking a warm shower cleaning your pubic area.

You will get into a separate room or a hole with a curtain. Then you will lie on a bed with your knees up or legs down.

Then, the therapist will trim down your pubic hair with scissors to a length of about a quarter inch.

Afterwards, the real thing will start. The waxer will start the waxing process. He will use a low temperature wax to cause less pain. When the wax cools he will pull it out with your pubic hair. This part is the most painful one. However, the first time is the most painful one. The hair can be pulled out easier in the following times.

The waxer will ask you to get into some weird uncomfortable positions – holding your legs up, to the side and even over your head.

If the waxer is a good one the painful part will end quickly. If you feel it takes too long or that the pain is unbearable, just tell the therapist that you need a little rest. When the waxing is done a soothing lotion should be applied to the pubic area. Your bikini area will stay smooth for at least 3 weeks with no maintenance at all. Make the most out of it.

This article is about “Lauguages dying out”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Lauguages dying out”:

Indigenous languages are dying out all over the world, pushed out by the lingua francas and major national languages. Linguists predict that at least half of the 6000 languages spoken worldwide today will disappear within the next century.

Most people think that there is only one Aboriginal language in Australia – this is a misconception! Another misconception is that all Aboriginals speak English, or that English is their native tongue. Aboriginal Australia is one of the most linguistically and culturally diverse regions on earth. It is estimated that between 300 and 600 distinct tribal groups existed in Australia before the white settlement in the late 18th century, and they spoke between 200 and 300 distinct languages.

Today, only about 100 Aboriginal languages are still in every day use in Australia, with some spoken by only a few elders and most facing extinction. As few as 20 of recorded Aboriginal languages, such as Yolngu, Arrernte and Warlpiri are in a healthy condition, whereby they are spoken by large communities, including children and young people learning them as their first language.

Most but not all Aboriginal people speak English as their first or second language. In a country of 22 million people, only about 55,000 people can speak an indigenous language. After English, Kriol is the most widely spoken language – from the Kimberley to northwest Queensland. Across southern Australia, most people speak English and Aboriginal English (a unique variety of English spoken by Aboriginal people).

It is widely accepted that almost all Australian indigenous languages belong to one family and are descended from one original language, spoken thousands of years ago around the central north coast of Australia.

Over time, Aboriginal nomadic tribes moved over the whole continent, with different dialects developing into separate, mutually unintelligible languages.

The first words from an Aboriginal language, including kangaroo, were recorded by Captain James Cook in 1770. Subsequent words, such as boomerang and dingo, were adopted into English after Governor Phillip brought the first group of convicts to Sydney in 1788.

Another little known fact is that there are Aboriginal interpreters who assist their clients in a variety of settings, including medical and legal.

This article is about “Activities diary of a wimpy kid”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Activities diary of a wimpy kid”:

One of the best sources for easy, hands-on social studies activities is the History Pockets series of books. These books provide many ideas for history activities without much planning or preparation for the teacher. Each title in the series is packed with projects, which are all meant to be photocopied for every student. Best of all, most of the completed projects are flat so they can be stored in the students’ History Notebooks. The series consists of several titles for Grades 1-3, and then more titles for Grades 4-6.

Each book concentrates on one historical theme, and that main topic is then divided into several specific areas, such as Daily Life, Government, Religion, etc. In each of these areas you will find several projects that will fit into a “Pocket” made from folded construction paper. The Pockets are then hole-punched and bound together with string or ribbon to create a Pocket Book.

It is also an option to simply pick out several of the suggested social studies activities without making any pockets. Since the projects are not bulky, students could easily store individual ones in their own History Notebooks. However, even if you make the Pocket Book as instructed, it could still be put in a notebook with the same punched holes that were meant for binding the book together.

To give you a general idea of what each History Pocket book includes, let’s take an in-depth look at the Ancient Greece book for Grades 4-6. The activities start with decorated Facts pages, a Map activity, and a Timeline that is ready to cut out and assemble. The Timeline guides the students with illustrations and captions to add information as they progress. You will also find writing activities, creative booklets to put together and decorate, and plenty of low-fuss crafts. In this book, the crafts include making a Hoplite Shield, an Alexander the Great banner, Mosaic (paper) tiles, a booklet of Olympian gods, Greek coins, and more. The instructions for Knucklebones tells you first how to make the game and then how to play it.

This book is about 100 pages long, and most of those pages are meant to be photocopied for student use, giving you lots of ideas to choose from. The Greek book has instructions for 9 separate Pockets with activities on a different theme of Ancient Greece, including Daily Life, Religion, Military Power, Art & Architecture, Government, Sports & Entertainment, and more.

If you are looking for social studies activities for your classroom, you will want to see all the ideas in the History Pockets books. Your students can be actively engaged in your historical topic by making these creative projects. The books give a wide selection of crafts and save the teacher from excessive preparation time. This is a resource you will want to add to your history lesson plans.

This article is about “How to make indian instruments”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “How to make indian instruments”:

Head Massage is Non-intrusive and Convenient

Indian Head Massage is a practice based on the Ayurvedic techniques and involves work on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face. Champissage, as it is also known, was brought to the west by Narendra Mehta. It is gentle, safe and non-invasive and just about anyone would benefit from a treatment. Head Massage, can be administered fully clothed. Therefore, many people find it less intrusive than a full body massage. This therapy is also known as Chair Massage, or Office Massage, and is very convenient since it can be performed virtually anywhere.

Benefits of Indian Head Massage

Indian head massage is particularly beneficial for alleviating stress, tension, fatigue, insomnia, head-aches, migraine and sinusitis, increase mental clearness, and for promoting relaxation. It is also useful for relieving: tension headaches, eyestrain, ear problems, insomnia, neck and shoulder stiffness, hair loss, hair thinning, scalp tension, intellectual fatigue, and anxiety.

A Powerful Preventative Practice

Indian head massage is a deeply relaxing practice. As a relaxation technique, it is a powerful preventive instrument in today’s stressful lifestyle. Indian Head Massage is most efficient when used as a preventative tool, but it is extremely helpful even as a treating method.

Indian Head Massage Techniques

Champissage focuses on the upper area of our body: the superior back, shoulders and neck, skull and face. The techniques include general massage techniques as well as techniques specific only to Champissage.

Upper Back Massage

Upper Back – Palm friction

Using the heel of your palm, make clockwise circles on the upper back. Make the circles on both sides of the spine trying to cover as much as possible. This relives tensions and breaks up knots.

Upper Back – effleurage

Using your entire palm, point your fingers upwards, start from the mid section of the back and glide your palms towards the neck. Once neck area reached, continue onto shoulders. This relaxes the upper back muscles and the shoulders.

Shoulder Massage – a tension Reliever

Light thumb compression

Rest your hands on the shoulders and walk your thumbs lightly down the midline of the neck and shoulders.

Shoulders Petrissage (kneading)

Place your hands on both of your subject’s shoulders near the neck and gently squeeze the muscles between your palm and your fingers. Do not use your thumbs. Apply light pressure; this area is sensitive for most of the people.

Neck Massage

Neck Kneading

Place your hand on your subject’s neck and gently squeeze it. Do not grasp between your thumb and your palm, you rather use only the palm to apply the squeeze. You can use any for the hands. This stroke is improving the blood circulation in brain.

Neck stretching

Place your right hand on the right shoulder, and begin a gentle side stretching right. The stretching has to be done in a slow motion and the extension should be in the limits of comfort. Repeat this on the left side. Alternate the sides a few times. Keeping one hand on the shoulder, continue with stretching forward – backward in the same slow motion supporting your subject’s back. Continue the stretching with alternative rotations; one clockwise the next one counterclockwise; Repeat this several times. This is a slow motion move. Proceed with extreme caution and if your subject complains about dizziness stop the procedure.

Ear Massage

Ear pulling

Ear massage will help reduce the stress, improve digestion, and normalize body temperature adjustment. Pull the ear backward with light force. Squeeze the ear between thumb and index applying a light pressure. Pull the earlobe downward with light force and release.

Effleurage behind the ears

Place the thumbs on the bone behind the ears. Applying a moderate pressure, (moderate effleurage), move your thumbs downwards to the neck until you reach the shoulders. This feels great and helps the release of endorphins. Ideally, you use some lubricant with this move.

Skull Massage Techniques

Eyebrows friction

Starting from between the eyebrows, rub with both of your middle fingers along the eyebrows to the temporal bone. When you reach the temporal bone search for a small cavity and do a small circle fingertip friction with your thumbs. This is an excellent instrument against headaches and fatigue.

Third Eye Stimulation – Head Massage

This is a miraculous technique to clear the mind and regain the focus: Place your both indexes between eyebrows on each side of the nose. Massage in a circular motion with light pressure. Massage for a few minutes.

This article is about “Should i draw money as i go in thailand or draw a lump sum?”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Should i draw money as i go in thailand or draw a lump sum?”:

The scammers that send these fraud letters are criminals. They want your money, and they use force to get it, if that is necessary. Secret Service has a warning on that here. I found such stories hard to believe until I recently was contacted by a friend. One of his friends, let me call her S, was killed in Lagos, Nigeria when she was trying to help a “dying man”, that had contacted her.

This is what my friend told me:

It all started about 3 months back she was chatting as all we do in yahoo messenger. I was in Miami that time so we both were chatting. She told me that she is going to Lagos for her modelling show as she was a model working for a TV channel. She started receiving mails from Lagos from a guy names “Garuba”. He used to mail her saying that he is a severe cancer patient and needs 1000 dollars for his urgent surgery. S told me that she received at least about 10 mails from him in that month. As she was supposed to go to Lagos she thought that it will be good to help someone who needs operation for a deadly disease like cancer. I remember that i was the only who dropped her to airport when she was leaving for Lagos. Everything was fine for a month. She used to call him once a week and she used to sound very normal. In her last call she told me she have helped him (scammer whom she didn’t knew) with 1000 dollars for his surgery, and it was normal. But suddenly he started asking for more and more money, which she refused to give. She mailed me saying that “He abuses her on phone”. I told her to leave Lagos soon.

After that I never talked to her. I tried to take Nigerian police help but they were bribed by those 419 scammers and police didn’t take my case. As you suggested me, I contacted the Embassy in Nigeria for S. I got the worst news of my life that she is no more. She was admitted is the city hospital in Lagos by Nigerian police. The Embassy found news about her. Local doctors said that she passed away after she was brought to hospital. Police are guessing that she was been beaten to death. Doctors are saying that she was raped too. According to DNA reports she was brutally raped by more than 4 men’s and beaten to death.

I need you to put this in your site so everyone comes to know that “Even the people who ask for money for there treatment is scammers “. This is the main aim that we need to show people. I f you place this in your site , people will be aware that ” Illness is also a reason which scammers are using to spoils any girls live by raping her, and also scamming the money , and everyone gets aware”.

Mail from a stranger

Did you receive a letter from a complete stranger promising you millions? Or did you receive an offer for millions of dollars while you were dating on the net?

I have received a lot of these letters, and they are all filled with lies. There is below an example of them.

Maybe your letter was similar to one of mine?

Maybe you received a letter telling you that you won in a lottery that you never heard of?

- Or maybe someone offered to an easy work-at-home job, where you have to receive money on behalf of a company?

If scammers failed to get you as a victim, they might try again with the use of a compensation letter.

This article is about “Just the way you are partituur Billy Joel”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Just the way you are partituur Billy Joel”:

If you’ve just started playing piano, you’re probably always on the lookout for some new sheet music to add to your collection. Here are five places to look for music that you’ll enjoy playing.

Music stores

This one is a bit of no-brainer, but local music stores are a great place to get sheet music. It can be a tad expensive, but the better stores will have a great selection. Look for the good stores on Yelp, or ask piano teachers in your area where they get their music. Most will be happy to help.

Craigslist, eBay

There are lots of piano players out there who have paid lots of money for music over the years that they no longer play, or perhaps they passed away and left stacks of music to their family. Regardless, you can often find some great deals on used sheet music on eBay and Craigslist. Be sure to buy from reputable buyers, but this can be a great way to score some real bargains, especially on hard-to-find pieces.

Sheet music sites

There are thousands of websites out there offering sheet music that you can either buy and have shipped to you, or in some cases you can simply print it out at home. This level of convenience was not available to piano players just ten years ago, and you should be able to find almost any music you want. There’s even a wealth of free sheet music available; it’s hard to get a better deal than that. Get a binder and start printing!

Garage sales

Depending on your area, garage sales can be another great source for music. Scan the classifieds for any mention of garage sales with anything music related for sale, as the chances are good they’ll have some music for sale as well. You can often get these for next to nothing.

Write your own!

I know it seems crazy, but you can actually write your own sheet music. If you have a good ear and you know the basics of musical notation, you can often deduce the notes and chords for songs and record them on blank music notation paper that you can get at any music store. This can be a great way to prepare for writing your own music someday.

One of the keys to sticking with piano is playing things you enjoy, and there’s no better way to get that kind of enjoyment and variety than always adding sheet music to your collection.
