This article is about “China xyz shoes”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “China xyz shoes”:

IMAGINE it is a terribly busy day, you are in Singapore, you have not slept well last night, and you have a bad headache. What would you reach for to put you out of this misery? Chances are, you’ll say “Panadol”.

“Branding is not about getting your prospects to choose you over your competition; it’s about getting your prospects to see you as the only solution to their problem,” says branding expert Rob Frankel. Your product has to be the solution to your niche customers. That means even if you are a car mechanic in a small town, you can be the “Panadol” for car owners living and working in the area, if you are good enough, and if you can market your brand well enough.

For decades, branding has been the domain of large corporations because of their relative ease to get on television and other media to blare out their brands. With limited media choices, consumers simply sit through all these advertising messages. Consumers can only recall the brand that has been advertised long and frequently enough, and that is what they’ll buy.

Not any more. We now have cable and satellite television, and more importantly, and the Internet to distract our attention. To create a strong brand in the Information Age, you need to know what are the components that make up a brand.

A good brand has three characteristics: visibility, positioning, and functionality. Without one of these, the brand will not work.

Visibility refers to the exposure rate the brand has on your target customers. Before the invention of cable, satellite, and the Internet, visibility can be easily achieved through television and print media advertisements. With more choices of media, visibility has somehow been eroded.

Brand visibility is a reason why some dot.coms failed to take off. If you are selling a consumer’s product, you can still place your products in a supermarket, a petrol kiosk or at bus stands. You can still create substantial visibility. In the online world, it’s either you log on, or log off.

To create visibility, many dot.coms turned to heavy advertising, which in turn burned up much of their capital until they went belly up eventually.

To complement the lack of visibility online, you can enhance your brand positioning. Positioning is the battle for the mind, according to marketing gurus, Al Ries and Jack Trout. It is a reflection of your products’ strengths and weaknesses in the customers’ minds. It is about how people perceive you to be, what you can do, and how you do it.

Like the Panadol example earlier, you may perceive that it cures headaches, is low-cost, and easily available. If it fails to work, you’ll simply perceive that you are very ill and need to see a doctor. Somehow, Panadol has achieved this kind of cult status in the minds of its customers even though it has few advertisements. It relies on good positioning.

According to Ries, brands are born with publicity, not advertising. With no advertising, The Body Shop has become a powerful global brand.

Brands are not confined to products. McDonald’s is a great brand, although not many people will admit it serves great food. It’s positioning is about being fast and clean. Its crew is always cheerful and says the exact same things from the time you enter the restaurant, to the time you receive your order.

There is also a functionality aspect to branding. Brands convey a certain message that describes their functionality. This is not to be confused with positioning. While both Chrysler and Mercedes Benz have the same functionality as car brands; they have very different brand positioning, even though they belong to the same company.

Once again, it is the perceived functionality of the brand that matters. Hush Puppy is a popular brand of shoes, but if they introduce Hush Puppy clothing, I don’t think they will achieve much success. Not many will warm up to the idea of wearing shoes on their bodies!

My guess is that Courts will be stronger with its furniture sales, but weaker in its electrical goods because its brand functionality is furniture. That means customers will shop at Courts when they want to buy furniture, and may perhaps add on a couple of electrical items before checking out.

The same principle applies to brand positioning as well. Courts is generally perceived as a low price, normal quality furniture retailer. When it ventures into upmarket furniture at Orchard Courts, it didn’t perform as well as it expected.

To get around the perception problem, NTUC Fair Price launched Liberty, an American-style supermarket that caters to people with more up-market taste. Even though Liberty sells NTUC’s house brand products as well, its brand position is more western, more upmarket and hip. The statue of Liberty is located in America’s fashion capital, New York. This is in contrast with Fair Price’s position as the favourite housewife’s haunt for fair-priced produce, and perhaps explains Liberty’s success in attracting expatriates to its supermarkets.

The plot thickens with the advent of the Internet, and every respectable company with a Web site. If you are the boss of XYZ Enterprises, and you have a Web site with the name XYZ.com, is it a brand, or just an online address?

According to Al Ries, the domain name is a brand. In addition, traditional companies should never use their company name or existing product name as their domain name because the public perception of a traditional company and that of an online one is very different. Online shoppers will never put traditional companies as their first-choice and vice versa for traditional shoppers. Ries disagrees with New Economy observers who believe brick and mortar companies can also sell online, and if such companies were to go online, they have to operate as a dot.com under a different name.

Rob Frankel suggests that a company should have as many domain names as possible and take on as many “personalities” as possible. Since brand visibility is weak online, why not create multiple domain names, each appealing to different groups of people?

The Internet has become so much a part of our lives that there will be no difference between online and offline shoppers. Consumers are expected to search items on the Internet, find the best product at the best price. Alternatively, they can shortlist a few vendors, go to the shops and inspect the products personally before buying.

E-brand

In this interpretation, the “E-brand” has lost its novelty, and the domain name is another channel of communication, distribution, and transaction. It is also the most cost-effective and efficient one as well. Hence, one-to-one marketing experts Peppers and Rogers suggest merchants offer multiple channels – physical shop front, telemarketing, catalogues, Web sites, online malls – so that the customer can choose whichever channel is the most convenient at the time of purchase.

Despite having poor brand visibility, the Internet offers the possibility of two-way communication. With one-way communication most companies have no idea on what goes through the minds of their audience. They gauge public perceptions by “guess-timation” at best.

Nowadays, you can get very accurate, and yet cost-effective feedback from your target audience through E-mail. Not only is E-mail a two-way communication channel, it also allows you to segment your markets right down to the last individual customer. You can be pro-active in engaging prospects and customers in explaining what your brand is all about and what functions will the brand fulfil. Subsequently, you can even achieve a pinpoint positioning of that brand to each individual customer.

Cost-effective Branding

The impact of the Information Age on brands is lower cost and higher accuracy in communicating the brand positioning and functionality. However, this does not mean that the playing field has been levelled.

Large companies still yield great influences over their markets because they have access to better customer data and have better resources to build efficient online communication channels with their audience. Small companies can also create strong brands to their niche clientele if they can convince its customers of its distinctive benefits over large companies.

Whether you succeed in building a strong brand in the Information Age will depend on your ability to identify unfulfilled gaps in the market and segment your target audience, and then increase your visibility levels through two-way communication and fine-tuning your brand positioning.

Since branding is a matter of managing perceptions and perceived values, the costs incurred should be seen as a secondary factor. The strongest brands will belong to companies that best communicate with customers and manage the clients’ perceptions.

This article is about “Bands of america championship 2010″, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Bands of america championship 2010″:

In North America it refers to game of football as it is played in Canada and North America and ranked the most popular inter-scholastic sports in Canada and North America. High school football is also known as prep football or preps football stared in 19th century. From this time to early 20th century a large number of college and high school teams played against each other. This game mirrors many footballs like marching bands, mascots, and homecomings.
The entire set of rules of high school football are created and maintained by National Federation of State High School Associations (NFSH).

These include a long rule list as; the four quarters are each 12 minutes in length, if a ball crosses the plane of goal line on a missed field goal, it would be a touch back, and the defence can’t run an extra point attempt for a source.

Through independent or freelance teams, home schooled students can also participate in high school football which can compete against small private schools. The regular season consists of ten games in states typically. In early September there is usually the first game and in mid November there is final regular season game. Teams may get more than one bye weeks during regular seasons. The large schools are basically responsible for attracting crowd in thousand even for regular season games. Sometimes games are played at high school football stadiums to accommodate exceptionally large crowd.

The schedules are primarily of Friday nights, with Thursday evenings. Saturdays aren’t preferred. There are several publications which release nationwide ranking of teams on the basis of polls and mathematical formulas taking into account the factors like margin of victory and strength of schedule. USA today poll is considered to be the most correct and school bags the top position of these polls is considered to be the national champion.

For the recruitment process of the team starts in the summer before school year and football season begins. The main consideration is the physical assessment in recruiting camp in campuses. Evaluation is on the basis of running 40 yard dash, vertical jump, and number of repetition on bench press performed at given weight.

Only championship based games are covered by television and radios in local media because most of the games take place during prime time. The school’s own radio station broadcast announces games which includes student announcers. This game reflects power and conviction and has ruled the mind of people in many parts of US of A.

This article is about “Yaya diallo nangape”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Yaya diallo nangape”:

When I saw this title, I was afraid and I’m still afraid regarding my opinion about the subject. The subject is complex and difficult so I cannot resolve it overnight. I am an African. I do things the African way. I cannot write about African American music like a Western scholar. In my culture we live the past and the future in the present. When I listen to some African American music I can feel the past, the present and the future all at the same time. Now, the best way for me to handle this subject is to work by questions and answers.

[Question] Yaya! Who do you think you are?

Yaya Diallo – I don’t think! I am Farafin, which means I am a dark skin man. The word Africa is the Arabic name for our continent. In Bambara we call the so-called “Africa” Farafina. Farafina means the land of dark skin people. I am from Farafina and I am proud of it. I don’t want to be somebody else. People in general say African American. I would say American Farafin, which means dark skin human being who lives in America.

[Question] What is your African background?

Yaya Diallo – I come from far away. I was born in 1946 in Fienso (French Sudan), now Mali. My parents were nomadic. When I was very young I used to travel a lot. I grew up in the bush far from any western civilization. The music that I heard was very traditional and played live. I did not have a radio or TV. I had the opportunity to listen to the music of the different ethnic groups from the Ivory Coast, Burkina and Ghana. In some villages I heard Muslim songs coming from the mosques. By night, I would enjoy the frog symphonic orchestras. From 1946 to 1960 I was living in complete nature. My musical training is a long story but you can learn more from my book The Healing Drum.

[Question] What are your feelings about the civilized world?

Yaya Diallo – In the city I had strange feelings. I saw people listen to music through what I thought was two kinds of boxes. The first was a radio. You could change the singer with the tuning button, I thought. The second needed records. It read 78, 45 and 33 1/2. You had to adjust everything with something but I did not have a clue as to what. Even still, the only music that I heard was the Beatles, Rolling Stones and Johnny Holliday.

[Question] What do you think about the word African American?

Yaya Diallo – Dark skin people living in America are not different from people I met in Africa (Farafina). To me they are just different ethnic groups like the Yoruba, the Bantou, the Zoulou or the Touareg. Africa is not one culture. We have thousands and thousands of languages and different music. My wife is an African American from Louisville, KY. Her mother is from Dark Corner, MS and her father from Jackson, TN. Like my wife and family there was one African American man, James Brown, who saved my life with his music.

[Question] How can an African American man save the life of a traditional African?

Yaya Diallo – In 1967 I left my country to go to Montreal, Canada. On my way, in Paris, I saw a big picture of James Brown in the Olympia Theater. In my mind I thought, “Oh! A black man in Olympia in Paris, France.” In Montreal I was looking for a place to dance or listen to the music that I loved. One day I found a radio station that played black music. I heard James Brown and felt at home.

[Question] What do you think about African American music?

Yaya Diallo – I always say that I don’t think, I feel. When we talk about African American music we talk about Spirituals, Blues, Funk, Jazz, Gospel, Rap, dance music, etc. I want to talk on each one by one.

When people in Canada were dancing the twist, jerk and go-go, in my country a French man named Johnny Holliday was playing bad versions of Wilson Pickett and Ray Charles’ music in French. In America I found out this French man was a robber. He stole the music, sang it in French and looked like a genius for us Africans.

[Question] What did you feel when you started to dance?

Yaya Diallo – I used to go out to dance to Wilson Pickett, James Brown, and Sly and the Family Stone’s music. For me they were Africans. They had good beats, good feelings and most important, African Soul. I did not feel that from Chinese or European music. In the 70s I discovered the Funk music, The O’Jays, Parliament, Ohio Players, Kool and the Gang and JR Walker and the All Stars. I felt I was at home when I knew the Motown Family (Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross and the Supremes, the Temptations and Stevie Wonder). I could survive because I had those kinds of musicians.

[Question] In terms of music, what is the link between African and African Americans?

Yaya Diallo – African Americans are Africans from the village and sadly they just don’t know it! When you listen to the music you can find out. Kool and The Gang played Funky Stuff. When you listen to the drum part you will get the Dounouba part of the dance Sounou. Sounou was played in the 15th century and today is the dance young people love. In Africa we learn the past in the present and teach it to the next generation. The African Americans sometimes do not know how African they are.

[Question] Why can you say that they are African?

Yaya Diallo – The first time I heard the Four Tops I thought I was listening to the Bambara Farmers in the evening after a hard working day. The Temptations reminded me of the men Fire dancers and singers. I can listen to Temptations but I am afraid to see them. I am not initiated to the Fire dance and the music brings out memories about the secret ceremonies that happened afar in the village. Aretha Franklin is for me a great Djeli-mousso coming from the Empire of Mali in the 13th century. When I listen to African American music I don’t worry about the meaning, only what I feel.

[Question] What do you think about Jazz?

Yaya Diallo – Really, to tell the truth, I don’t feel jazz. Many people coming from Africa feel the same way. I learned about jazz in 1980 when I recorded my first album, Nangape, on Onzou Records. That opened the door for me with jazz. Jazz magazines like Cadence and Down Beat wrote articles on me like I was a “jazz man.” I was invited to do workshops at the Creative Music Studio in Woodstock, NY. I met jazz big names like Art Blakey. He said, “Yaya is the only African that I can jazz, that I can play with and be comfortable.” I completed a trio with Don Cherry and Ed Blackwell in the Symphony Space in New York.

[Question] What about Gospel?

Yaya Diallo – To me gospel means religion or church but my father-in-law changed my mind. When going to church with him I saw a big band and a big choir. People were singing and I forgot that I was in church. I was surprised; I saw ladies in a trance like in my village but they called it shouting. This reminded me of the Mania Secret Society where only woman go into a trance when praising god (See The Healing Drum).

[Question] What is rap?

Yaya Diallo – I love rap! I use to lie about buying rap and say that it was for my children. Rap is the old tradition of the Fulani people in Mali. It tells life stories through poetry that is recited quickly. Nomadic people have to explain their daily journey through this same quick form, but without the foul language. Today, the young people think that they have reinvented the wheel.

[Question] Yaya, what is wrong with African American music today?

Yaya Diallo – Today everything is easy. Instead of buying a drum set you buy a drum machine. Computers do everything. You can get almost every sound by pressing a button. This is the type of world that we live in today. The young Africans love it like we used to love James Brown. Time is the only thing that has changed!

[Question] How did African American music change American Society?

Yaya Diallo – We changed everything! We changed the style of dance; we created new sounds, new styles, and new way to dress … EVERYTHING! Country music is the white version of the Blues. Rock-n-roll comes from our music. People forget that Jimmie Hendricks was a Blues player that just changed his sound and look. Without James Brown, Sly and Family Stone and the Motown Family there would be no Madonna, no Celiene Dion, no techno, and no disco. African Americans brought this to the world. It is sad because people do not recognize it. We changed the world and it will never be the same again.

[Question] How do people know you in America?

Yaya Diallo – I am the author of two books, The Healing Drum and At the Threshold of the African Soul. I have four CDs, Nanagape, The Healing Drum, Dombaa Folee, and Dounoukan. I thank Onzou Records, the first company that trusted me to make my first album in 1980. That was not easy!

This article is about “How to make an instrument”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “How to make an instrument”:

Many parents have encountered the situation whereby their child started out very interested in picking up music lessons for the piano, violin, cello or saxophone, however the child soon loses his or her interest. Imagine the surprise of the parent and the heartbreak of losing a lot of money they have invested in the child’s private music lessons and music instruments. In many cases, the child (now grown up as a teenager) regretted his or her decision and wished their parents had been more insistent on making sure he or she completes learning the violin, cello or piano.

There are four techniques which will encourage a child to continue his music lessons through teenage years. What are these techniques which will keep the child passionate about music?

1. Enrol your child in group classes

Many times, parents start their children on private violin or cello lessons and soon after, the child declares that he or she want to quit. However, with a friend or in a group, the child develops his interest faster. Group music lessons can be structured to be a fun activity especially for young children.

It is true that children who take music lessons in a group tend to acquire the interest in the instrument, since they view that the weekly classes are fun get together with their friends. Aside from group classes, consider enrolling your child in a performing group like the youth orchestra. From regular practice sessions, your child will develop a deeper appreciation in the instrument.

2. Be encouraging

Children thrive on encouragement. Be positive and give encouraging comments to your child. Try not to shout or stress your child out when he or she is not picking up the instrument at the desired pace.

Aside from offering words of encouragement, reward them for practicing the instrument regularly. The reward could be a trip to the local ice cream store or a toy. For teenagers, you may want to be flexible in terms of how long they practice every day.

3. Do not cram their schedule

It is natural for any parent to wish that their child excel in everything they do. However, there needs to be a balance between cramming their schedule full of activities and classes and leaving them some play time. If you wish for your child to excel in playing a music instrument, pick one instead of several so that your child can focus.

So in summary, if you ensure that the above four points are adhered to, this will ensure that your child develops passion for taking music lessons in whichever instrument he or she is interested in.

This article is about “What bands were inspired by nirvana”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “What bands were inspired by nirvana”:

Seattle is a city known for a wide array of things. First of all, Seattle is known as one of the most architecturally pretty cities in the country, with most tourists and locals alike agreeing that the buildings and most of the place is beautiful. Also, the city is known for having terrible weather almost the entire year around. Typically, like much of the rest of the Pacific Northwest, Seattle has weather that is rainy and gray for most of the time. Also, apparently Seattle is known for masonry contractor and chimney repair, which are supposed to be among some of the best in the country. The upcoming paragraphs will discuss other important contributions that Seattle has made to American and global culture in general.

Chances are, unless it is somehow against a religion somewhere or something, that almost every person in the country has used a computer at some point in time. Most likely, Seattle is to thank for that computer surprisingly. While not located exactly in Seattle, computer goliath Microsoft headquarters are located in Redmond, Washington which is basically considered Seattle anyway. Microsoft makes most computer products on the market for consumers today and more recently have ventured into the realm of video gaming with the Xbox and the Xbox 360. In fact, Microsoft is probably responsible for more products on the market than most people know because in the mid 1990′s they were broken up for being a monopoly and the brands that used to be branches of Microsoft are now their own companies.

Another thing that Seattle is famous for is starting the grunge music trend in the early 1990′s. Grunge music was a form of rock music and was largely inspired by punk, heavy metal and indie rock. Grunge is typically known for its angst filled or completely apathetic lyrics that seem melancholy and almost hopeless with life. Also, grunge musicians were usually known for their unkempt style and deadpan behavior while performing, forgoing the crazy and energetic antics of the hair bands and mainstream rock of the previous decade. Some of the more famous grunge bands were groups such as Nirvana and Pearl Jam, who of course have inspired many other acts across the country since they stopped producing new music themselves.

Lastly, Seattle is known for something that now exists in every suburb, city and possibly even rural area across the nation. This last thing that Seattle is famous for is Starbucks coffee, which is now the most popular brand of coffee in America by a lot. However, much like Microsoft, Starbucks has been in trouble recently for anti competitive practices from people who believe they are becoming somewhat like a monopoly.

Seattle is probably one of the most interesting cities in America so next time you are sitting around drinking your Starbucks coffee, playing on Facebook with your laptop produced by Microsoft and listening to Nirvana songs you should take a little time and show some gratitude to the beautiful pacific Northwest.

This article is about “Santa claus is coming to town chords piano easy”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Santa claus is coming to town chords piano easy”:

Oh! You better watch out,

You better not cry,

You better not pout,

I’m telling you why:

Santa Claus is coming to town!

Okay, let me quickly clarify, this is no music class lessons that I’m taking you through, neither have I lost my marbles to believe that Santa Claus has preponed his visit to India during the current festival season of Diwali. This is the song that India is singing along, as they welcome the most powerful (gentle)man of the world, Mr. Barack Obama during the auspicious season of Diwali. Well indeed, India is celebrating the festival of lights, “Diwali”, and people all over the world especially people in India are making the most of this festival season by sharing and spreading happiness all around, savouring home-made delicacies, burning oil lamps, and lighting up the sky with fireworks during Diwali.

Ho ho ho…says Mr. President

Coming to celebrate Diwali with the people of India is the supposed apostle of change, Mr. Barack Obama, who gets air-dropped in Mumbai today in his mean machine, the Air Force One, promising India a bag of goodies in the form of a permanent seat at the UNSC, and a string of high-pitched strategic and business relations resulting in creating jobs and increased sale of goods for both India and America.

However, the President of the most powerful country of the world that India had invited is no longer as powerful as he used to be before the recent mid-term elections in the USA. No doubt, he still is the President of the United States of America and that he occupies the White House…but, after being betrayed by his ardent disciples, Obama no longer enjoys the supremacy over the legislative. Justifiably, Obama’s followers-of-change have lost their faith in their shepherd and no longer believe in his change mantra of “Yes We Can”, which promised to change the lives of Americans.

In the bargain, Mumbai gets a Botox

The people of America have gone rogue and by voting the Republicans over the Democrats, Obama can feel the force of the Hurricane hit him so hard that his motivation of visiting India and the who’s-who of the business and the political world undoubtedly will lose its fizz. Coming to think of it, Mr. President will have to obtain permissions for every decision – small or big – that he makes, before he goes ahead implementing it. So, isn’t Obama’s trip to India more of a jolly good adventurous holiday rather than a serious strategic tie-up engagement?

Well, looking at the glass that is half-full, Mumbai has benefited in a big way with Obama’s visit. Civilians in this part of the country have been screaming and complaining for years about potholes on the road, unhygienic conditions, uncut trees, bad traffic management, corruption, etc., but these complains were never actioned upon. However, the upcoming arrival of Obama has kept the city administration (who never worked all their lives) so busy that they are leaving no stone unturned to welcome a foreigner to this city. Only if they had the same concern for the people of this city, life would be different!

But Mumbai has no complains and the people in fact would like to welcome Obama every year…because in the bargain, our streets & walls get polished and sanitized, our traffic gets managed better, the security beefs up, our trees get pruned, all in all the city gets a facelift. All thanks to Obama, we now believe that if given a chance our city administration, The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), can actually work and can be effective if need be. Obama has brought a change in the perception of the people of Mumbai, emphasizing that BMC can make a difference…Yes we Can!

Should we blame him for all?

“Change” is what the Democrats promised the American people since they came in power on Jan 2009. However, since there was no positive change seen, the very same people who elected Obama badmouthed him calling him names, eventually throwing him out of total control in the recent mid-term elections. This showcases that America has a strong democracy and if need be…the civilians of the nation can make a powerful man powerless.

But the question to ask ourselves is that, “Is Obama and his administration responsible for all the rot in America”. Obama took charge of America when the global recession had already hit this planet. He took charge when the Iraq war was already in the sixth year since American invasion in Iraq in 2003. He took charge when unemployment and the growth rates were already dipping. Very clearly indicating that, Obama has inherited most of the problems from his predecessors.

Nevertheless, the man who once was hit by the mighty shoe, Mr. George Bush, admits in his new book called “Decision Point”, that as the President of the USA, he had made errors involving the Iraq war. He admits that he felt like a captain of a sinking ship towards the end of his presidency when dealing with recession. So, do we blame and point fingers at Obama or do we need to give his administration some more time to turnaround a sticky situation. Because eventually, America and the world, do not have an option of doing business with any other planet other than the recession-hit-planet Earth which is currently weathering a stormy weather.

The people of India are waiting to unwrap the gifts that Obama has brought for India and are hoping that this partnership together, will benefit both India’s and America’s economic condition.

Post-script:

Today, in the next hour from now, Obama would make his first speech at the Taj in memory of the 26/11 victims. And when Obama speaks, the world listens. Undoubtedly, if Obama is not one of the best Presidents that America has…he is one of the best orators that the world has ever seen and heard. And I personally am keen to know, whether he has inherited this talent as a genetic gift or has he studied the art of powerfully communicating in simple words and creating that much-needed impact on his listeners.

Want to become a professional organizer? GREAT! If you love to organize, this is a great profession to be in. You get paid for helping people organize their homes and offices. You also get to pick your schedule and plan how you spend your time. Here are some tips to get your organizing business started:

Professional Organizing Specialization: Your specialization will depend on your talents and background. If you have an administrative background, you may want to consider using your organizational talents to help people organize their offices. If you are great at organizing your home, consider specializing in residential organizing. To become a professional organizer, it is my opinion that choosing a specialty helps you to improve your skills since you are focused in that category. There are also many other specializations you can choose from as well.

Business Name: You will need to choose a name for your new business. Try and pick one that has an available URL in case you decide to get a website in the future.

Business License: If you’re going to become a professional organizer and start your own business, you will need a business license.

Business and Marketing Plan: It is important for any new start-up business to have a business plan as well as a marketing plan. There are many resources available for free on the internet that can assist you in writing these up.

Brush Up On Your Organizing Skills: You must be prepared to teach others. My best suggestion is to practice with family and friends. You can also offer free (pro bono) work for new clients and explain that you just starting your own business.

Business Portfolio: If you want to become a professional organizer, it is important to have a portfolio to show clients. You want to take pictures of your organizing projects in order to show clients how their spaces can look if they decide to hire you.

If you want to become a professional organizer, there are other things to consider. Do you LIKE to organize, CAN you organize, can you TEACH others? If you possess these qualities, professional organizing can be a great career to be in.

This article is about “Dorothy Herzka”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Dorothy Herzka”:

If Elvis Presley was the king of Rock and Roll in the post-war America, definitely, Roy Fox Lichtenstein, or simply Roy Lichtenstein was the American king of Pop Art. He was an ordinary man with an extraordinary ability to transform chewing gum wrapper characters into salable art. He was an ordinary artist from an upper middle class family, blessed with an uncanny ability to convert comic strips into a gallery-worthy art.

Born in Pre-World War II America, on October 27, 1923, at Manhattan, New York City, Roy Lichtenstein was a dabbler in many ways. He often resorted to teaching and painting simultaneously to support himself. After finishing his public school in New York, he enrolled for Franklin School for Boys, Manhattan at the age of 12. After graduation, he enrolled with the Art Students League of New York, under the tutelage of the American painter, Reginald Marsh. Roy then migrated from New York to study Fine Arts and a studio course at the Ohio State University. His education here was interrupted, however, for three years (1943-46) during his service in the Army around the World War II. Once back, Lichtenstein joined the graduation program of Ohio State and even occasionally served as an art teacher for the subsequent decade. In 1949, the artist completed his M.F.A. from the Ohio State University, and the same year, he tied knot with Isabel Wilson.

In 1951, Roy Lichtenstein held his first solo exhibition at Carlebach Gallery, New York. The same year, the artist migrated to Cleveland for six years, working sometimes as a window decorator and sometimes as an artisan. During this phase, Lichtenstein’s paintings kept swinging between ‘Cubism’ and ‘Expressionism.’ In 1954, his first son was born, followed by the second in 1956. The artist returned to New York in 1957 and resumed teaching. At this time, ‘Abstract Expressionism’ marked his paintings. In 1958, he joined as a teacher at the State University of New York at Oswego. He started teaching at Rutgers University in 1960, where his romance with Proto-pop Imagery rekindled.

Roy Lichtenstein’s life in itself was unremarkable, almost bordering on the mundane, without any major tragedies or traumas as were associated with many of his calling. Even his skills were not something legendary. What set him apart, however, was his way of taking commercial art and putting it before viewers, as the advertisers wanted them to see. During 1961-65, Roy Lichtenstein indulged in the cartoon oriented Pop Art. He blew up the small boxes of DC comics into large prints, where the use of “Benday Dots,” first time in “Look Mickey (1961),” was distinctly noticeable. The same year (1961), an American art dealer, Leo Castelli, started exhibiting Roy’s works in his New York gallery, followed by the artist’s solo show there in 1962. Fame was Lichtenstein’s from here. Magna paints, thick borders, bold colors, and Benday Dots, became the identities of Roy’s works, such as in “Drowning Girl (1963).” In 1964, the artist took a break from teaching, in order to focus on his artistry. His marriage with Isabel was over in 1965, followed by his remarriage with Dorothy Herzka in 1968.

Alternating between ‘Pop Imagery’ and shameless kitsch promotion, Roy’s blown-up, larger than life “Whaam! (1963)” was an iconic commercial bull in the until date conservative gallery, China Shop. Lichtenstein made every American to no more consider the potential ‘Comic Art’ as lowbrow. He, in fact, made the world understand that the perspective of treating commercial art as “low,” was only indicative of insular thinking, rather than the narrow expression of the art form itself.

During his lifetime, Roy Lichtenstein was hailed as the torchbearer of modern ‘American Symbolism,’ who took art into the mainstream, out of the confines of its rigid high society definition. The artist borrowed heavily from comic strips, super heroes, and commercial icons, but managed to put them into meaningful concepts. His art works did not represent merely enlarged copies, but were also connotative of a different take on the American outlook towards its commercial icons. Roy Lichtenstein is known more for his sense of design, rather than for his sense of beauty. His style, and form of image placement, made the viewers see familiar objects in a new light – a light that made kitsch fashionable and fashion kitsch. During 1970s-80s, Roy started producing the sequels of his earlier works, such as “Artist’s Studio, Look Mickey (1973).” ‘Surrealism’ started reflecting in his works by late 1970s, such as in “Pow Wow (1979).”

His iconic sculptures, like “Head (1992),” screen prints, and the cover design for Universal Studios made him the undisputed king of the commercial art. Lichtenstein’s renditions made him the darling of the art galleries. On September 29, 1997, he succumbed to pneumonia, at Manhattan, New York City. Despite the lack of brilliance of an accomplished artist, Roy Lichtenstein will always be known as the icon, who made commercial art, avant-garde, a man turned comic books as fashionable as the Mona Lisa is.

This article is about “Where is siberia in civilation 4″, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Where is siberia in civilation 4″:

Human reason so delights in constructions, that it has several times built up a tower, and then razed it to examine the nature of the foundation. It is never too late to become wise; but if the change comes too late, there is always more difficulty in starting a reform.

[Kant: Prolegomena/Metaphysics]

It can be said, with good reason, that Western civilization has reached a major crisis or turning point in its history. Yet, we have always assumed that our culture, our way of life, could not fail to survive such challenges. We feel that our history clearly validates this belief as we examine the records of the past.

Critics have said that those who fail to study history are doomed to repeat it. So, we are constantly looking back over our shoulder to historical events of epochs past trying to draw conclusions about how to avoid the pitfalls of former times and nations. We strive in this manner to keep our trajectory on track, moving forward to a brighter future. But, perhaps the most important error – and what may have led indirectly to our current global crisis – is not what we failed to learn from history, but that which was forgotten by our predecessors at the very dawn of historical consciousness.

Certainly, history is the story of civilization, the rise and fall of empires and nation states, and the memorable personalities and dramatic events creating the fabric of historical narrative. But this history emerges out of a set of assumptions about how things work, how the world is constituted, the logic of historical narrative, about acting in the world, and about the nature of language. These assumptions ground our understanding of the world, including our own personal histories, while inhibiting us from remembering what was forgotten with the emergence of history, civilization, and its stories.

Of course, scholars will tell us that humankind lived a primitive and brutish pre-civilized existence with no written records prior to the emergence of historical consciousness and the recording of events in the ancient Near East, Sumer in particular: the big event. They may even tell us that such peoples lived with myths that are nonsensical from our modern, rational, historical perspective.

But, modern Homo sapiens appeared almost 200,000 years ago, and the earliest species of our genus, Homo habilis, two million years back; they lived in relative harmony with nature and with one another; and they lived without history or the terror of historical consciousness until its eruption with the birth of civilization. What the scholars will not tell us is that there was something substantial lost with the emergence of this new consciousness and the subsequent construction of historical thought approximately 5,500 years ago.

As culture critics, we seek to develop a set of tools and a footpath to help grasp this ancient transition, allowing us to recollect that genetic memory trace which was lost (forgotten) at the shadowy origins of our history. We need to devise a unique vocabulary for breaking out of our univocal and unilinear historical perspective, a foundation razing critique of the development of civilization, history, and what M. Bram calls “the curriculum of the West.” Was the transition to this new urban world an inevitability of evolution or simply a pathological accident? The archeological evidence seems to support of the latter view.

And so, any good critique of culture needs to remind us about the end of kinship and the beginnings of kingship; about the origins of hierarchy and political institutions, of law and calculative thinking; about the origins of work, education, competition, violence, warfare, slavery, and modern urban alienation; about the origins of greed, about winners and losers, and the historic context of our current cultural crisis; about the loss of freedom and play, about the loss of polysemy and of a “humane society.”

By recollecting all of this, perhaps we may overcome the forced “erasure” of our pre-civilized past, allowing us to recover the “memory of another, perhaps more compelling way to live.” [Bram] But, to Kant’s earlier point, is it perhaps too late for “reform?”
