This article is about “SHOE XYZ.COM”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “SHOE XYZ.COM”:

IMAGINE it is a terribly busy day, you are in Singapore, you have not slept well last night, and you have a bad headache. What would you reach for to put you out of this misery? Chances are, you’ll say “Panadol”.

“Branding is not about getting your prospects to choose you over your competition; it’s about getting your prospects to see you as the only solution to their problem,” says branding expert Rob Frankel. Your product has to be the solution to your niche customers. That means even if you are a car mechanic in a small town, you can be the “Panadol” for car owners living and working in the area, if you are good enough, and if you can market your brand well enough.

For decades, branding has been the domain of large corporations because of their relative ease to get on television and other media to blare out their brands. With limited media choices, consumers simply sit through all these advertising messages. Consumers can only recall the brand that has been advertised long and frequently enough, and that is what they’ll buy.

Not any more. We now have cable and satellite television, and more importantly, and the Internet to distract our attention. To create a strong brand in the Information Age, you need to know what are the components that make up a brand.

A good brand has three characteristics: visibility, positioning, and functionality. Without one of these, the brand will not work.

Visibility refers to the exposure rate the brand has on your target customers. Before the invention of cable, satellite, and the Internet, visibility can be easily achieved through television and print media advertisements. With more choices of media, visibility has somehow been eroded.

Brand visibility is a reason why some dot.coms failed to take off. If you are selling a consumer’s product, you can still place your products in a supermarket, a petrol kiosk or at bus stands. You can still create substantial visibility. In the online world, it’s either you log on, or log off.

To create visibility, many dot.coms turned to heavy advertising, which in turn burned up much of their capital until they went belly up eventually.

To complement the lack of visibility online, you can enhance your brand positioning. Positioning is the battle for the mind, according to marketing gurus, Al Ries and Jack Trout. It is a reflection of your products’ strengths and weaknesses in the customers’ minds. It is about how people perceive you to be, what you can do, and how you do it.

Like the Panadol example earlier, you may perceive that it cures headaches, is low-cost, and easily available. If it fails to work, you’ll simply perceive that you are very ill and need to see a doctor. Somehow, Panadol has achieved this kind of cult status in the minds of its customers even though it has few advertisements. It relies on good positioning.

According to Ries, brands are born with publicity, not advertising. With no advertising, The Body Shop has become a powerful global brand.

Brands are not confined to products. McDonald’s is a great brand, although not many people will admit it serves great food. It’s positioning is about being fast and clean. Its crew is always cheerful and says the exact same things from the time you enter the restaurant, to the time you receive your order.

There is also a functionality aspect to branding. Brands convey a certain message that describes their functionality. This is not to be confused with positioning. While both Chrysler and Mercedes Benz have the same functionality as car brands; they have very different brand positioning, even though they belong to the same company.

Once again, it is the perceived functionality of the brand that matters. Hush Puppy is a popular brand of shoes, but if they introduce Hush Puppy clothing, I don’t think they will achieve much success. Not many will warm up to the idea of wearing shoes on their bodies!

My guess is that Courts will be stronger with its furniture sales, but weaker in its electrical goods because its brand functionality is furniture. That means customers will shop at Courts when they want to buy furniture, and may perhaps add on a couple of electrical items before checking out.

The same principle applies to brand positioning as well. Courts is generally perceived as a low price, normal quality furniture retailer. When it ventures into upmarket furniture at Orchard Courts, it didn’t perform as well as it expected.

To get around the perception problem, NTUC Fair Price launched Liberty, an American-style supermarket that caters to people with more up-market taste. Even though Liberty sells NTUC’s house brand products as well, its brand position is more western, more upmarket and hip. The statue of Liberty is located in America’s fashion capital, New York. This is in contrast with Fair Price’s position as the favourite housewife’s haunt for fair-priced produce, and perhaps explains Liberty’s success in attracting expatriates to its supermarkets.

The plot thickens with the advent of the Internet, and every respectable company with a Web site. If you are the boss of XYZ Enterprises, and you have a Web site with the name XYZ.com, is it a brand, or just an online address?

According to Al Ries, the domain name is a brand. In addition, traditional companies should never use their company name or existing product name as their domain name because the public perception of a traditional company and that of an online one is very different. Online shoppers will never put traditional companies as their first-choice and vice versa for traditional shoppers. Ries disagrees with New Economy observers who believe brick and mortar companies can also sell online, and if such companies were to go online, they have to operate as a dot.com under a different name.

Rob Frankel suggests that a company should have as many domain names as possible and take on as many “personalities” as possible. Since brand visibility is weak online, why not create multiple domain names, each appealing to different groups of people?

The Internet has become so much a part of our lives that there will be no difference between online and offline shoppers. Consumers are expected to search items on the Internet, find the best product at the best price. Alternatively, they can shortlist a few vendors, go to the shops and inspect the products personally before buying.

E-brand

In this interpretation, the “E-brand” has lost its novelty, and the domain name is another channel of communication, distribution, and transaction. It is also the most cost-effective and efficient one as well. Hence, one-to-one marketing experts Peppers and Rogers suggest merchants offer multiple channels – physical shop front, telemarketing, catalogues, Web sites, online malls – so that the customer can choose whichever channel is the most convenient at the time of purchase.

Despite having poor brand visibility, the Internet offers the possibility of two-way communication. With one-way communication most companies have no idea on what goes through the minds of their audience. They gauge public perceptions by “guess-timation” at best.

Nowadays, you can get very accurate, and yet cost-effective feedback from your target audience through E-mail. Not only is E-mail a two-way communication channel, it also allows you to segment your markets right down to the last individual customer. You can be pro-active in engaging prospects and customers in explaining what your brand is all about and what functions will the brand fulfil. Subsequently, you can even achieve a pinpoint positioning of that brand to each individual customer.

Cost-effective Branding

The impact of the Information Age on brands is lower cost and higher accuracy in communicating the brand positioning and functionality. However, this does not mean that the playing field has been levelled.

Large companies still yield great influences over their markets because they have access to better customer data and have better resources to build efficient online communication channels with their audience. Small companies can also create strong brands to their niche clientele if they can convince its customers of its distinctive benefits over large companies.

Whether you succeed in building a strong brand in the Information Age will depend on your ability to identify unfulfilled gaps in the market and segment your target audience, and then increase your visibility levels through two-way communication and fine-tuning your brand positioning.

Since branding is a matter of managing perceptions and perceived values, the costs incurred should be seen as a secondary factor. The strongest brands will belong to companies that best communicate with customers and manage the clients’ perceptions.

This article is about “Slavic language dying”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Slavic language dying”:

In February Senator John McCain sponsored a bill to regulate nutritional supplements and the companies who manufacture them (The Dietary Supplement Safety Act of 2010, S3002), purporting that greater FDA oversight of the manufacture of supplements was necessary in order to prevent the injury and death of American citizens. In particular, McCain is on the record stating that his goal with this bill was to protect athletes from tainted supplements, especially those laced with anabolic steroids.

This bill is now dead in the water as McCain withdrew his support when Senator Orrin Hatch expressed his concern that the bill would negatively impact the nutritional supplement industry.

Even though this bill now won’t be pushed through the legislative process, it appears that we can expect a continuing dialogue over nutritional supplement safety and regulation among members of Congress.

Along with millions of other Americans, I am relieved that the McCain bill is no longer a threat but am concerned about future developments in this arena. The thought of the FDA having any more oversight than it already does over natural products makes my stomach turn for a number of reasons.

Here are a couple –

First, there is a track record of overreaction to the dangers of nutritional supplements (supposed or real) in the media and among policy-makers.

Let’s take the example of ephedra. Ephedra is an herbal stimulant and thermogenic agent (increases body temperature) that people used for weight loss, sometimes with or without caffeine, and it was banned in 2004 because of a number of reported side effects, including hypertension, irritability, nervousness, hyperthermia, heart palpitations, seizures, and even a handful of deaths.

I am not defending ephedra as a supplement that is safe for all people under every condition, and I definitely believe it’s possible that it has caused problems for some people, fatalities including. After all, if an herb or nutritional supplement has any sort of biological impact on the body at all, there are bound to be people who will have a negative reaction to it!

But let’s look at the media frenzy that surrounded the deaths of 3 athletes in the last decade, purportedly due to their use of ephedra.

In 2001, Korey Stringer participated in a Minnesota Vikings training camp and died of heat stroke. Even though his autopsy showed no traces of ephedra in his system at the time of death, the herb was widely blamed for killing the young athlete.

Professional baseball player Steve Bechler died on the field due to heat stroke in 2003. Ephedra was blamed for causing his death, and indeed the toxicology report showed ephedra derivatives in his blood. He also had a history of heat stroke, was overweight, was on some sort of liquid diet, and was at a practice in South Florida with brutal heat and humidity, which he was unaccustomed to, when he collapsed on the field and tragically passed away.

The third high-profile death blamed on ephedra was that of college football player Rashidi Wheeler, who in 2001 collapsed during training exercises designed to push the athletes to the edge and died of exercise-induced bronchial asthma, which he had had problems with in the past. Even though the coroner found ephedra in his system, it was deemed not to be a causative factor in his death.

The death of anyone, particularly someone as young as each of these three men were, truly is a tragedy. I don’t have enough information to judge if ephedra caused any of their deaths, though ephedra’s role in killing two of them appears dubious. Either way, the both the media and the FDA jumped on the anti-ephedra bandwagon and today it is considered an illegal substance.

A handful of possible death implications and a few thousand complaints of negative reactions — that is reason for concern, to be sure! Which is why the media and FDA’s handling of a group of substances that kill between 100,000-200,000 people each year in our nation, and cause complications for far more, is puzzling.

Why is ephedra demonized and banned and herbs/nutritional supplements viewed as such a threat while young (and old) people all around us on prescription or over-the-counter drugs seem to be dropping like flies? All the while, the very agencies and organizations crying foul on supplements are silent by comparison on the pharmaceutical issue!

Why have pharmaceuticals, including many of the pain killers, antidepressants, and anti-anxiety meds found in the bloodstream of young, dead actors (and many others who were less famous), been given a free pass?

The Emperor is naked, and few seem to care…

28-year-old Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment in January 2008, and his death was found to have been caused by “an accidental overdose of prescription medications including painkillers, anti-anxiety drugs and sleeping pills… ‘Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine,’”

Another young actor, Brittany Murphy, shocked the Hollywood scene when she suffered cardiac arrest and passed away in her home in December 2009. Her toxicology report states the following: “Multiple medications were present in the blood, with elevated levels of hydrocodone, acetaminophen [Tylenol], and chlorpheniramine. L-methamphetamine was also present. It should be noted that the pattern of use of these medications suggest treatment of symptoms of a cold or other respiratory infection. Acetaminophen and hydrocodone are components of Vicodin. Chlorpheniramine is the active ingredient in some over-the-counter medications. L-methamphetamine is a component of some inhalers.”

Most recently, of course, is the tragic death of 80’s teen actor Corey Haim at age 38. Haim collapsed and passed away at his mother’s home just a few days ago. While no toxicology report will be available for a few weeks, bottles of prescription drugs (and no illegal drugs) were found in his home, making it at least possible that he just became the next high-profile death by prescription medication.

When compared with the public cry against ephedra and any other herbal or nutritional supplement accused of injuring people, I have to wonder — where is the outrage against these pharmaceuticals?? These few examples of famous people dying in their homes on legal drugs are just the high-profile, proverbial tip of an enormous iceburg.

When taking pharmaceutical drugs as prescribed is attributed to at least 106,000 death per year in America alone (and possibly as many as 200,000) and the total number of deaths attributed to nutritional supplements since 1989 is 230, why would anyone in their right mind want to waste our government’s time and resources on regulating nutritional supplements when the pharmaceutical industry is clearly in much, much worse shape?

Let me repeat — there are a minimum of 106,000 deaths per year in America due to prescription drugs, and there have been 230 deaths due to nutritional supplements since 1989. 1989 was 21 years ago (we won’t count 2010 in these figures since the year just began). That means in the past 20 years there have been approximately 2.1 million deaths because of prescription drugs, and only 230 because of nutritional supplements, or 9,217 times more deaths due to drugs. But there is not 9,217 times more outrage. Somehow, much of the public has allowed its outrage to be focused on the 230 deaths instead of the 2.1 million!

Clearly, something isn’t right here.

Even supposing there truly is a need for oversight and regulation in the nutritional supplement industry, why would we hand such a job over to the FDA when they’ve done such a poor job regulating drugs, allowing 2.1 million Americans in the last 20 years to die because of them?

Lastly, I am absolutely in support of companies who manufacture drugs, supplements, vaccines, and even food additives being required to be up front about injuries that they have been purported or proved to have caused (such as aspartame, or NutraSweet, which has over 10,000 complaints against it – more than complaints of all other substances combined). That aside, I have to wonder where the government derives the authority to tell us which substances we can and cannot take into our bodies.

What it comes down to for me is this — Washington, please leave me alone and let me take my herbs and supplements that healed me of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in 2005, kidney stones in 2008, swine flu and a mumps-like illness in 2009, chronic problems with headaches and skin, too many cold and flu-like illnesses to name just in the few years alone. I don’t want to worry about limited access or increasing prices that would be sure to come with greater regulation.

And in return, let those who desire substances that are associated with well over 100,000 deaths per year in America have their pills.

This article is about “Airfare trends to france”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Airfare trends to france”:

A critical part of the travel budget is transportation and this often includes airfare. The frugal traveler does more than keep an eye out on the internet for discounted flights. He or she looks for more creative ways to stretch the travel dollars.

Using Free Stop Overs

When the hubby and I traveled to Australia the first time, we flew Air New Zealand. Why? Because the airline offered a free stop over in their hub in New Zealand. We had never seen the country and were planning to tour it anyway. This way, we didn’t have to pay for airfare to and from.

The second time, we traveled to Australia, we flew Air Tahiti Nui. This airline offered, you guessed it, a free stop over in Tahiti on the way to or back. Another place we always wanted to visit.

Hidden Cities

Free stop overs are a benefit openly offered by some airlines. Hidden cities are not only unadvertised but are actively discouraged by the airlines. However they can be great savings for the frugal traveler.

An example of this is a trip from New York City to Las Vegas. Sometimes a flight from New York City to Los Angeles is less expensive, even though this same flight stops in Las Vegas to pick up more passengers. So what is to stop the frugal traveler from getting off early, at the destination he or she really wants to visit?

A few things… Luggage will be sent to the ticketed destination so this trick is for carry on only passengers. Also the flyer must remember that the return ticket should start at his or her real destination.

Getting Bumped

For the flexible, easy going traveler, being bumped for a flight is like winning the travel lottery. There is usually compensation plus you’re allowing someone else, who really needs to, to get to his or her destination on time.

Travelers knowing the rules know the compensation offered (check the carriers website), know the next flights out (be wary of carriers with once a week flights), and can weigh that against the pain of disrupted plans. The hubby and I always decide before arriving at the airport (early so we have a boarding pass to give up) whether or not it’s worth it. That way we can be the first to offer up our seats.

There are ways to increase the chance of being bumped, the simplest being booking an already quite full flight (usually a flight later on in the day).

Air travel doesn’t have to blow a travel budget. With some monitoring of discount sites and using some creativity, the frugal traveler can receive more for less.

This article is about “Humorous definition of a classroom”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Humorous definition of a classroom”:

When you think of shame, what comes to your mind? How about guilt? Many people associate shame and guilt as one emotion, but in reality they are very different. By definition, guilt is the “I have done something bad” emotion. By contrast, shame is the “I am bad” emotion. As you continue reading, consider how your actions can impact guilt or shame in a child. Ask yourself if there may be ways to change these emotions into success for your students.

Shame is felt when others are aware of our incorrect intentions or actions and can often lead to feelings of worthlessness. Guilt, on the other hand, is the emotion that is felt when no one else knows about our intentions or actions. I clarify this because it makes a noticeable difference to the person making the choice. The difference between success and failure in dealing with our classroom management can depend on our perception of these two emotions.

A high percentage of poor behavior in the classroom will elicit neither shame nor guilt. This is because the individual taking the action may be unaware of the impact his/her actions have on others, or they may simply lack the related values associated with their actions. Dealing with poor behavior then boils down to the impact we have as educators when revealing the poor behavior to the student.

Evoking a guilt response in the student is an inevitable result of negative feedback. Avoiding this certainty will only allow the problem to fester. If we can first elicit a guilt response indirectly, we create the best chance for success. Allowing the student the autonomy to choose the correct path will be the most effective way to make first contact with poor behavior. Evoking guilt in a student indirectly can be very powerful and may allow the student to avoid shame. Guilt can lead to empathy if skillfully managed for the success of the student.

When it becomes necessary for us to take a student aside or openly correct a repeated poor behavior, the emotion can then become shame. When our corrections reveal shame in a student, the reaction can differ depending on the personality of the student. In some cases, we will have success and in other cases the student will choose to react poorly. The defining factor in this will be determined by the approach we take.

Delivering negative feedback can be a dicey proposition. Our approach can make all the difference and will determine our overall ability to build or kill rapport with our students. Here are a few tips to take these emotions of the heart and turn them into success every time:

Tips for Delivering Negative Feedback

1. Be the Bigger Person

The first step to success is to answer the main question: Why am I correcting this student? If the answer to this question is anything other than allowing the student to become a better person, then our motives are not true. If we are merely in a bad mood, wanting to take revenge or looking for someone to use as an example, then correction will only backfire. Revealing your contempt builds ground for the student to stand against you. Remaining calm and assertive will allow you to build ground for the student to walk with you.

2. Eliminate Bias

In his book, Verbal Judo, George Thompson says that it is important to eliminate bias in communication at all costs. A calm and assertive attitude will be the key to overcoming the natural gut reaction of the student. Keep your anger, harsh emotion and condescension out of your approach to discipline. Within the tone of your voice and the words you use, you can either turn off a student forever or create ground for him/her to walk with you. The inner voice is normally grumpy, so ignore it. Learn to control it and make it obey with positive intentions.

3. Sprinkle on the Praise!

Praise builds rapport and gives you ground to stand with the student when negative feedback is necessary. Praise often and be specific. Don’t just say, “Good job, Tom.” Be specific and create a mental picture. Praise can be effective, but praise for what is expected should be avoided. Instead, praise what is unexpected.

“Tom, I loved the way you played that solo. You showed so much emotion. It was hard to believe you kept yourself so focused. I’m impressed. I can’t wait to hear you again tomorrow.”

4. Praise Last with Correction First

If you are going to add correction and praise together, do not praise first.

“I loved the way you played that solo Tom, but you need to stay away from B natural in this key.”

This is an ineffective way to praise and correct because your students will learn to anticipate “but” as a negative at the end of all your praise. On the other hand, if you criticize first and then praise, the praise is the focus of the argument and will assist you in building ground with the student.

“Tom, I noticed that you used a B natural in the key of B flat. We can work on that, but I was very impressed with your tone quality and mature sound. Great job!”

This “but” comes across much better. Your “but” should have as much impact as possible. While you are laughing at that last sentence, remember this tip: Use humor often.

5. Create Context

Creating context with your students can be an amazing force multiplier. Simply asking or telling a student to change a behavior is not nearly as powerful as asking with a picture.

“Tom, can you please refrain from blurting out (ask)? The class will run much more efficiently if only one person speaks at a time (why). In addition, you avoid taking the chance of getting in trouble (why not). You will have a much better chance of avoiding a detention if you show me that you can be respectful (positive ending).”

Creating context will also involve answering the why for everything you say. Answer the question, “Why is this important to me?”

6. Paint a mental pictures.

Using a metaphor to further build context for proper behavior is one of the most entertaining and pleasant exercises a teacher can endeavor to accomplish. A metaphor paints a mental picture that contains all the elements of a well thought-out lesson. Evoking a previously learned metaphor can bring the lesson back to a student’s mind in a matter of seconds. The following is an example of a great metaphor that I use in my band classes:

I use a metaphor that I call the consistency principle. The consistency principle states that all people want to be seen as consistent. I ask the students to mentally place themselves in my position in the front of the room. I ask them to imagine what expectations they would have if they were the teacher needing to teach the class. I then ask them to remain consistent with these expectations. It is like a magic trick and gets them to empathize with me. All I have to do is have them imagine what it would be like to be me. The fact that I made them believe in being consistent sets up the expectation that they should. I can then continue reminding them each day to be consistent.

Final Thoughts

All of these suggestions create a basic foundation for pushing students to create their own high expectations and walk with us instead of against us. It is one thing for us to have high expectations for our students, but when the students create their own high expectations, we are likely to minimize the need for consequences all together. When we take this step, we create the best possible environment for students to turn guilt and shame into success.

This article is about “Cost of time warner movies on demand”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Cost of time warner movies on demand”:

Two of the major sources of pay-TV in the US come from the cable and satellite TV providers. They use 2 different technologies in distributing hundred of shows to their millions of subscribers. Here, we take the 2 biggest players in Cable and Satellite TV, pit them against each other, comparing cable and satellite TV deals or packages.

Pricing

- Time Warner Cable offers Digital Cable for $49.95 on the first 12 months (then you’ll be paying the standard local rates after) – $599.40 on the first year;

- Comcast’s starter package, Digital Start costs $29.99 on the first 6 months, then $61.99 afterward – $611.88 on the first year;

- Direct TV’s starts with its Choice package for $29.99 for the first 12 months – $359.88 on the first year; and

- Dish Network’s basic package starts with its America’s Top 120 for $19.99 for the first 12 months – $239.88 on the first year.

In terms of costs, Satellite TV providers win this match. Satellite TV packages compared, Dish Network may have the edge over Direct TV. More so, the actual rates that cable subscribers pay significantly vary from one area to another so you’ll need to verify how much you’d really have to pay to get subscribed with these companies.

Programming

- Time Warner Cable’s $49.95 includes over 200 digital cable channels, with Movies On-Demand and others.

- Comcast’s starter package includes over 80 digital cable channels, tons of movies, commercial-free music channels and more.

- Direct TV’s Choice package includes over 150 all-digital channels, local channels (where applicable), free installations and more.

- Dish Network’s America’s Top 120 includes over 120 all-digital channels, local channels (where applicable), free installations and more.

Time Warner’s generous line-up of over 200 digital cable channels reasons its costly price tag. Between Dish Network and Direct TV, it’s the subscriber’s decision if they want to get more digital channels by adding a few more dollars to their packages.

Other charges

Time Warner Cable charges a one-time fee for each installation such as security deposit ($50), technician visit ($30), service assistance fee ($4.99), easy connect shipping and handling ($4.99), etc. Other charges required for a digital cable service like expanded cable ($43.70/month), cable box ($7.99/month each), digital intro fee ($2/mo), etc., etc.

Comcast charges extra costs installation (app. $50), protection fee (app. $30), basic TV service fee (app. $4/mo), etc. DVR services may require deposit excluding the DVR monthly service fee, etc. etc.

Direct TV and Dish Network have basically the same system in terms of other charges. The installation fee and free, handling and shipping are usually free (especially for online subscriptions), equipment leases are free for the first receiver (or more depending on the package).

It is important for a marching band that they get enough exposure and people are familiar with them as this helps them boost their confidence and work towards becoming well coordinated. In order to encourage High School and University students to be a part of the marching band numerous competitions are held every year. Here is a list of just a few held in U.S.A:

•	Fall competitions: majority of competitions are held in fall and are more extensive during the students. There two major organizations that organize competitions during this time of the year namely the USSBA (United States Scholastic Bands Association) and the Bands of America. Fall is generally that period of time where rigorous activity of marching bands takes place in America as states also organize numerous competitions.

•	Summer competitions: organizations like the MACBDA organize numerous competitions and extensively tour with Marching bands of northern states during the summer months of June, July and August and the very prestigious Honda Battle of the Bands is held during this time of the year which is not a competition but merely a demonstration of the prowess and the crowd pleasing aspect of the participating bands. The bands battle out by performing and then look for the support of the crowd.

•	Spring; usually does not host many competitions but this is the time of the year when bands generally participate in demonstrations of their talent and familiarize the people of the community and ensure that they receive adequate support from them when they participate in competitions throughout the rest of the year.

•	The Sudler Trophy and Sudler Shield is often regarded as the most comprehensive and prestigious award for Marching Bands all over America. It is a competition that awards participating teams based on their coordination, talent and performances all year round.

Most of these competitions cost money for the entire band to perform. To raise money, schools usually have booster clubs to help with fundraisers, bake sales, yard sales, etc. Many band parents will also find ways to help raise money as well, but it does take time and a lengthy budget for competitions.

Marching band competitions require dedication, patience, and a lot of hard work. Many bands practices for months before entering a local competition. Make sure you and your team are ready to compete by taking the competition seriously, and by practicing each and every day. Your band will succeed.

This article is about “Camp rock piano lyrics download”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Camp rock piano lyrics download”:

The Camp Rock was a movie produced by Walt Disney in the year 2008. The sequel to the hit film is getting released on 3rd September 2010. To popularize the film, the events are getting held in 45 cities across America. The three Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato who acted in the film are going to perform at the concerts. The teen heart throbs are creating a sensation as the vanishing Camp Rock Concert Tickets suggest.

The Disney movie is centered on the rock song theme and the sound track of the movie features some excellent songs from the three brother band. The movie plot sketches the rivalry between two camps. The challenge of a show down between the two rivaling group; to decide which one remains open is the main attraction of the movie. The live stage performances around America are going to keep the interest on the movie sky high. The three brothers on the movie act to be the members of the highly successful band “Connect 3″. It seems the movie is creating an excellent platform for the real band of brothers, too.

The Jonas brothers are a rock brand and popular among the teenagers. The popularity of the group sky rocketed when they tied up with the Hannah Montana on the Walt Disney channel. The TV program gave them instant recognition and appreciation from the TV viewers. Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas make up the team of brothers that constitute the rock band. The Jonas brothers are frequently seen on the Total Request, live program on the MTV channel.

The Jonas brothers also presented the awards at the Teen Choice program. The group has traversed a long path of fame in a relatively short time. The recent album from the group is interestingly named “Lines, Vines and Trying Times”. The album has already received the attention of the nation and is praised by the music critics. It seems the band is maturing at a very fast pace.

The Camp Rock Concert Tickets are available online and is the best option to avoid the rush and long queue in front of the ticket counter. The passes are advised to be bought early as the frenzied demand for the tickets will make it impossible to get a decent seat. The events are generating more publicity as the teenagers are trying desperately to get a glimpse of their favorite movie characters. The teen response to the concerts is phenomenal.

The band has always philosophically disagreed with this label: “For us, it’s a faith, not a genre”, says Jon Foreman. “We’ve always been very open and honest about where the songs are coming from. …

This article is about “Debate topics for college students on environment”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Debate topics for college students on environment”:

Whilst all societies recognize the value of and implement systemic education of their population as children between the approximate ages of 5 and 15 for primary and secondary education, and into the early twenties for tertiary education, contemporary debate is in constant ferment as to what the format and content of a proper school curriculum should be. No one disputes that it is advantageous for both the individual and for society that people should enter into early adulthood literate, numerate and with a variety of social skills such as the early school environment enables, but beyond that there is infinite scope for disagreement as people debate education issues and argue as to the proper scope and manner of teaching in our schools.

The School Uniform Debate

Take for example the school debate as to whether it is appropriate to dictate the clothing which shall be worn by a child attending school, which some regard as dictatorial, but which others see as being merely ancillary to the proper imposition of identity, discipline and some level of regulation.

Pros and Cons of Prayer in School

Then there is the issue of the place of religion in schools, a current education controversy of some significance. Moves towards multiculturalism for many Western countries have proved to be an exercise in recognizing and accommodating the religious practices of immigrants, at the expense of denying their own. Religion is certainly a personal choice but there can be little education debate that religion is an integral part of any culture such that a general knowledge of the major religions is part of the work of providing a complete education.

Evolution vs Creationism in Schools

Similarly, some people observe a conflict as between religious belief in creationism and the teaching of evolution according to Darwin such that they are of the view that the theory of evolution should not be taught in schools. This type of school education issue is the equivalent of burning books, and is anathema to the true purpose of education, which indisputably is to inform rather than to indoctrinate.

The Homework Debate

Other school debate topics include the subject of homework, its value and purpose. Certainly, no child should be given so much academic work to complete after school that they are unable to participate fully in sporting or social events, but some private research with information as to sources of reference or practice of what has been taught during the day encourages independent inquiry and reinforces the content of the lessons of the day.

Sex Education Issues

Current education issues include the area of sexuality and what if any sex education should be given by schools, and to what extent gender bias exists in or is fostered by schools. Again, like religion, sex, gender and sexuality are part of social norms and culture. School debate and education needs to be able to address these issues for age ready children in the context of teaching them about a natural part of life, in much the same way as general life skills such as managing your money are now often included as part of a formal education.

For the past few years, I’ve been spending a lot of time on college campuses, discussing the ethics of eating animals with college debate teams; I argue that vegetarianism is an ethical imperative for all members of the student body, …. Put another way: If we believe that people should try to protect the environment, OR we believe that we should try not to cause people to starve OR we oppose cruelty to animals, the only ethical diet is a vegetarian one. …

Everyone get over it. We won the argument. When Middle America understands the need to be more sustainable, not only environmentally, but economically, we’ve won. So can we stop arguing about whether this debate is worthy or not? … I tend to think that the environment is a part of social responsibility, not the other way around. Ethics is the overall framework and within that is the environment. When you start saying that the environment is the main issue–and that …
