This article is about “Dress my babe”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Dress my babe”:

Cave girl fancy dress costumes are a favorite among the costume party crowd for the simple reason that they are sexy. A woman dressed in a slightly revealing leather and fur outfit certainly takes some beating in the effects department! Costume parties are very much back in vogue due to the celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Elton John been photographed in various costumes at different glamorous events.

Unlike the traditional Halloween themes of witches, zombies and vampires, the cave girl fancy dress look is suitable for the whole year round. You can throw a fancy dress party at any time and for no reason other than they are fun and a great way to get the conversation flowing. So if you have a birthday or anniversary coming up make it a fancydress party. Even a neighborhood barbeque can be really livened up by getting everyone to dress up and where better to get your cave girl fancy dress on than a barbeque!

Many costumes are readily available online and in local fancy dress stores although the choices, and usually the prices are better on the web. To answer the huge increase in demand for fancy dress costumes, it is a billion dollar industry, many suppliers have developed an online presence and for us that means great products at reasonable prices and a huge selection from which to choose.

Many cavewoman costumes are aimed at the younger market and feature very short dresses or even bikini styles with lots of fur and leather but you can get more modest styles which are not quite so revealing. Fortunately outfits are available n a wide range of sizes from the child sizes up to plus size for the more comfortably built cavewoman. There are also costumes in the popular Flintstones style, Pebbles Flintstone being the ultimate cave girl, and if you are going as a couple then why not get a Bamm Bamm costume for the caveman in the family?

This article is about “Yaya diallo nangape”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Yaya diallo nangape”:

When I saw this title, I was afraid and I’m still afraid regarding my opinion about the subject. The subject is complex and difficult so I cannot resolve it overnight. I am an African. I do things the African way. I cannot write about African American music like a Western scholar. In my culture we live the past and the future in the present. When I listen to some African American music I can feel the past, the present and the future all at the same time. Now, the best way for me to handle this subject is to work by questions and answers.

[Question] Yaya! Who do you think you are?

Yaya Diallo – I don’t think! I am Farafin, which means I am a dark skin man. The word Africa is the Arabic name for our continent. In Bambara we call the so-called “Africa” Farafina. Farafina means the land of dark skin people. I am from Farafina and I am proud of it. I don’t want to be somebody else. People in general say African American. I would say American Farafin, which means dark skin human being who lives in America.

[Question] What is your African background?

Yaya Diallo – I come from far away. I was born in 1946 in Fienso (French Sudan), now Mali. My parents were nomadic. When I was very young I used to travel a lot. I grew up in the bush far from any western civilization. The music that I heard was very traditional and played live. I did not have a radio or TV. I had the opportunity to listen to the music of the different ethnic groups from the Ivory Coast, Burkina and Ghana. In some villages I heard Muslim songs coming from the mosques. By night, I would enjoy the frog symphonic orchestras. From 1946 to 1960 I was living in complete nature. My musical training is a long story but you can learn more from my book The Healing Drum.

[Question] What are your feelings about the civilized world?

Yaya Diallo – In the city I had strange feelings. I saw people listen to music through what I thought was two kinds of boxes. The first was a radio. You could change the singer with the tuning button, I thought. The second needed records. It read 78, 45 and 33 1/2. You had to adjust everything with something but I did not have a clue as to what. Even still, the only music that I heard was the Beatles, Rolling Stones and Johnny Holliday.

[Question] What do you think about the word African American?

Yaya Diallo – Dark skin people living in America are not different from people I met in Africa (Farafina). To me they are just different ethnic groups like the Yoruba, the Bantou, the Zoulou or the Touareg. Africa is not one culture. We have thousands and thousands of languages and different music. My wife is an African American from Louisville, KY. Her mother is from Dark Corner, MS and her father from Jackson, TN. Like my wife and family there was one African American man, James Brown, who saved my life with his music.

[Question] How can an African American man save the life of a traditional African?

Yaya Diallo – In 1967 I left my country to go to Montreal, Canada. On my way, in Paris, I saw a big picture of James Brown in the Olympia Theater. In my mind I thought, “Oh! A black man in Olympia in Paris, France.” In Montreal I was looking for a place to dance or listen to the music that I loved. One day I found a radio station that played black music. I heard James Brown and felt at home.

[Question] What do you think about African American music?

Yaya Diallo – I always say that I don’t think, I feel. When we talk about African American music we talk about Spirituals, Blues, Funk, Jazz, Gospel, Rap, dance music, etc. I want to talk on each one by one.

When people in Canada were dancing the twist, jerk and go-go, in my country a French man named Johnny Holliday was playing bad versions of Wilson Pickett and Ray Charles’ music in French. In America I found out this French man was a robber. He stole the music, sang it in French and looked like a genius for us Africans.

[Question] What did you feel when you started to dance?

Yaya Diallo – I used to go out to dance to Wilson Pickett, James Brown, and Sly and the Family Stone’s music. For me they were Africans. They had good beats, good feelings and most important, African Soul. I did not feel that from Chinese or European music. In the 70s I discovered the Funk music, The O’Jays, Parliament, Ohio Players, Kool and the Gang and JR Walker and the All Stars. I felt I was at home when I knew the Motown Family (Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross and the Supremes, the Temptations and Stevie Wonder). I could survive because I had those kinds of musicians.

[Question] In terms of music, what is the link between African and African Americans?

Yaya Diallo – African Americans are Africans from the village and sadly they just don’t know it! When you listen to the music you can find out. Kool and The Gang played Funky Stuff. When you listen to the drum part you will get the Dounouba part of the dance Sounou. Sounou was played in the 15th century and today is the dance young people love. In Africa we learn the past in the present and teach it to the next generation. The African Americans sometimes do not know how African they are.

[Question] Why can you say that they are African?

Yaya Diallo – The first time I heard the Four Tops I thought I was listening to the Bambara Farmers in the evening after a hard working day. The Temptations reminded me of the men Fire dancers and singers. I can listen to Temptations but I am afraid to see them. I am not initiated to the Fire dance and the music brings out memories about the secret ceremonies that happened afar in the village. Aretha Franklin is for me a great Djeli-mousso coming from the Empire of Mali in the 13th century. When I listen to African American music I don’t worry about the meaning, only what I feel.

[Question] What do you think about Jazz?

Yaya Diallo – Really, to tell the truth, I don’t feel jazz. Many people coming from Africa feel the same way. I learned about jazz in 1980 when I recorded my first album, Nangape, on Onzou Records. That opened the door for me with jazz. Jazz magazines like Cadence and Down Beat wrote articles on me like I was a “jazz man.” I was invited to do workshops at the Creative Music Studio in Woodstock, NY. I met jazz big names like Art Blakey. He said, “Yaya is the only African that I can jazz, that I can play with and be comfortable.” I completed a trio with Don Cherry and Ed Blackwell in the Symphony Space in New York.

[Question] What about Gospel?

Yaya Diallo – To me gospel means religion or church but my father-in-law changed my mind. When going to church with him I saw a big band and a big choir. People were singing and I forgot that I was in church. I was surprised; I saw ladies in a trance like in my village but they called it shouting. This reminded me of the Mania Secret Society where only woman go into a trance when praising god (See The Healing Drum).

[Question] What is rap?

Yaya Diallo – I love rap! I use to lie about buying rap and say that it was for my children. Rap is the old tradition of the Fulani people in Mali. It tells life stories through poetry that is recited quickly. Nomadic people have to explain their daily journey through this same quick form, but without the foul language. Today, the young people think that they have reinvented the wheel.

[Question] Yaya, what is wrong with African American music today?

Yaya Diallo – Today everything is easy. Instead of buying a drum set you buy a drum machine. Computers do everything. You can get almost every sound by pressing a button. This is the type of world that we live in today. The young Africans love it like we used to love James Brown. Time is the only thing that has changed!

[Question] How did African American music change American Society?

Yaya Diallo – We changed everything! We changed the style of dance; we created new sounds, new styles, and new way to dress … EVERYTHING! Country music is the white version of the Blues. Rock-n-roll comes from our music. People forget that Jimmie Hendricks was a Blues player that just changed his sound and look. Without James Brown, Sly and Family Stone and the Motown Family there would be no Madonna, no Celiene Dion, no techno, and no disco. African Americans brought this to the world. It is sad because people do not recognize it. We changed the world and it will never be the same again.

[Question] How do people know you in America?

Yaya Diallo – I am the author of two books, The Healing Drum and At the Threshold of the African Soul. I have four CDs, Nanagape, The Healing Drum, Dombaa Folee, and Dounoukan. I thank Onzou Records, the first company that trusted me to make my first album in 1980. That was not easy!

This article is about “Penis translation Chinese”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Penis translation Chinese”:

I was the less fortunate one. God did not gift me with the perfect ‘tool’ to enjoy. I often heard insulting comments from my ex-girlfriends – “horizontally challenged.” When matters became that worse, I decided to take some concrete action to overcome this problem. At first, I was under the impression that extending my organ is next to impossible and that so far nothing scientific has been developed by the researchers. Therefore, I focused more on ‘optimizing’ whatever length I had, but without much result. Gradually, I started realizing that enhancing the length and girth of my penis is the only permanent solution to this problem.

I was near the verge of a nervous breakdown when I heard about the male enhancement supplement called Virility EX from an old friend of mine. This ex-friend introduced me to Virility EX and assured me that poor performance will become an ‘ex-thing’ and that I can extend my pleasure as well as my partner’s.

All my skepticism vanished into thin air when I learnt about the natural ingredients of this male enhancement supplement. I started using them following their guidelines strictly. Over a short period of time, I started noticing results. I was thrilled! What surprised me most was that I was free from any side effect associated with such other male enhancement supplements. I did not feel any awkward feeling in my penis like what has been described by friends who tried other products. There was no weird feeling of blood gushing. All was natural. The only difference was that my organ has gained some length! I could not believe my eyes!!

I was too eager to try my improved tool on women. I could not wait any longer. So I fixed a date with my girlfriend and promised her a ‘surprise.’ Yes, it actually turned out to be a surprise. Her jaw dropped to the floor! She asked me, “how did ya do it?” to which I could only say “there is more to come, what you’ve seen is just the tip of the iceberg.” She could not wait to try it. Needless to say, our session was mutually satisfying. Besides the psychological benefit of having a lengthier penis and the physiological benefit of providing a deeper penetration, I noticed a subtle increase in my stamina and energy. With this, I was totally convinced that Virility EX is beyond doubt a natural male enhancement supplement without any side effects.

Things did not end there. I continued taking the supplement and now I have:

1.	A much bigger penis

2.	Harder erections

3.	Increased energy and stamina

4.	Improved general conditioning

5.	And of course, an increased libido!

This article is about “Justice membership club number”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Justice membership club number”:

No neighbourhood portrait of Toronto’s Beach community could ever be complete without one of the true institutions in the area: the Balmy Beach Club, a private social and athletics club founded in 1905, has been a real anchor of the local sports and recreational scene, and continues to thrive today as a favourite gathering place for many of its members. During a recent interview with Glenn Cochrane, he took me briefly into the Balmy Beach Club and stated that “this is the best patio on Toronto’s waterfront – bar none”. When I headed out on the patio and saw the sweeping 180 degree panorama of Lake Ontario with a view towards Toronto’s skyline, I simply had to agree. Combined with a beautiful setting inside a historic neighbourhood, surrounded by gorgeous mature trees, one would be hard-pressed to find a more perfect urban oasis in Toronto than the Balmy Beach Club.

To find out more about this revered institution I set up an interview with Ken Bingham, long-time member of the Balmy Beach Club, and the official historian of this institution. The Balmy Beach Club, a non-profit organization, is a social and athletic club that came into existence in 1905. It has about 1400 members in two membership categories: the social membership provides access to upstairs facilities, including the bar, lounge, patio and banquet hall. Social members are able to attend a wide variety of functions, for example the Superbowl Party, a Glen Miller Dance, Rock Star Karaoke, a Martini Night and many more. Members in the social category also participate at no extra cost in lawn bowling, volleyball and most social functions run through the club. In addition, members are eligible to rent the banquet facility for private functions such as birthday parties, anniversaries and weddings. Many local community organizations also use the club to hold special events or fundraisers.

The fitness membership includes the privileges of the social membership and additionally provides access to the fitness room, the squash courts, sauna and change rooms on the lower level of the building. With this level of membership it is feasible to join the canoe, hockey or rugby sections of the club. Sports such as curling, tennis, football and lawnbowling are offered as well through the club.

For more than a century the Balmy Beach Club has been noted for its athletic teams which started out with canoeing and lawn bowling, and were later expanded to add other activities such as curling, hockey, squash and volleyball. Ken explained that the land for the Club was donated by Sir Adam Wilson, an Ontario Chief Justice in the second half of the 19th century. The land for the Balmy Beach Park was incorporated in 1903.

The first club house, a beautiful two level structure with large wooden verandas, opened in 1905, but it unfortunately burnt to the ground in 1936. Another club house was built, but again fire struck in 1963. The current club house dates back to 1965.

While Ken was grabbing me some extra papers with historic information I took the opportunity to talk with Chris Buckley, the current president of the club, now serving his second term. Chris works full time in sales, and in his spare time he oversees the club and chairs the board. He informed me that this is a volunteer position, and that a Board of Directors is responsible for the main athletic sections (canoeing, lawn bowling, volleyball, hockey, rugby and squash). Chris further explained that membership is actually rather reasonable for a private club: the social membership is $260 a year while the fitness or athletic membership costs $420 per year. An initiation fee of $300 applies to first-time members, but that fee is sometimes waived during special promotions.

Chris Buckley indicated that he is very interested in increasing the membership of the Club since a larger roster of members also helps to defray the costs of running the club. Sometimes the Balmy Beach Club holds open houses and invites the community at large to get to know the club, its facilities and recreational opportunities. He indicated that the club is very open and welcoming, and has members from as far away as Brampton and Mississauga, but there are also a number of international members who reside in the United Kingdom, in the United States, in Australia and New Zealand.

The sports teams themselves run various fundraising events to cover the costs of insurance and other necessary funds for their sports activities. A very popular fundraising event is a volleyball tournament, and participants often show up outfitted in funny costumes. One time a team was dressed up as gladiators, another time they were pretending to be waiters with bowties from the “Goof” , the affectionately nicknamed historic Garden Foods Chinese restaurant just up the street.

The club itself also gets involved in charitable activities on behalf of the Beach community. The club sponsors local high school baseball, lacrosse and hockey teams, and club members also provide a scholarship to one male and one female student at Malvern Collegiate. During the summer the club runs a canoe/kayak day camp for about 300 children. The linkages to the community are strong.

I inquired into general information about the club, and Chris informed me that the opening hours are Monday to Sunday from 6 am to 1 am. He chuckled and said “the bar closes when the president goes home”. New developments are also in the works: the city wants to build additional volleyball courts on the sandy beach right in front of the club. Toronto has actually become known as the beach volleyball Mecca in Canada with a variety of leagues and tournaments encompassing hundreds of teams that are run out of Ashbridges Bay. The Balmy Beach Club was actually were it all started, and Canadian beach volleyball celebrities Mark Heese and John Child both used to play at the Balmy Beach Club. Heese and Child participated in three Olympic Games: the team won the bronze medal in Atlanta (1996), came in 5th in Sydney (2000) and 5th again in Athens (2004).

World caliber athletes have been coming out of the Balmy Beach Club for a long time. International rugby players have been developed at the Balmy Beach Club, and Chris adds that there are eight senior players that played on the Canadian national rugby team, while six Balmy Beach junior players are currently playing for Canada. Several paddlers from the Balmy Beach Club have won Olympic medals in kayaking and canoeing as well.

What Chris really enjoys about being a member at the Balmy Beach Club is that the club is very inclusive and includes members of all backgrounds and age groups. He enjoys being friends with 18-year old youngsters while he also appreciates the older members, many of whom have been part of this club for several decades. He said it is very sad when some of the older members pass away, and the entire club mourns the departure of long-term club members. He adds that he has football pictures from high school that depict three generations of Balmy Beach Club members.

Chris had to go and handed me back to Ken, and we set off on a tour of the building. Ken first took me into a large multi-purpose room on the Western side of the building which houses a variety of plaques and sports jerseys. This is where most of the social functions are held, and occasionally the room is also used for indoor lawn bowling. Ken indicated that the Balmy Beach Football team won the Grey Cup twice in 1927 and 1930. Several wooden plaques highlight the Canadian champions in canoeing / kayaking, lawn bowling and football/rugby that came out of the Balmy Beach Club. The long lists are impressive.

One plaque in particular honours the Olympians that emerged from this club. One person that appears four times on this plaque is a gentleman by the name of Jim Mossmann, who, as Ken explained, was the Canadian Olympic Canoe Coach in four different Olympic games. In addition to paddling sports, curling is another sport offered by the Balmy Beach Club. The club fields twelve teams that all play in their own league at the East York Curling Club.

Lifetime club members also get honoured here, and some active members have been with the club for 60 or more years. The Balmy Beach Club truly provides social and recreational opportunities for an entire lifetime, and its members have a deeply felt loyalty to this institution. Many a courtship was started at the Balmy Beach Club, and I bet that scores of Beachers were born as a result of a romantic connection that started at the Balmy Beach Club.

Just outside the multi-purpose room is an area full of plaques, the Balmy Beach Club Hall of Fame, honouring some of the distinguished athletes from the club. In a hallway just to the left of the entrance hall there are a number of certificates, including original certificates from the 1920 Olympic Games in Paris, the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, the 1952 Games in Helsinki as well as the 1960 Olympic Games in London, all donated by Balmy Beach Club members who were actual participants in these historic competitions.

Ken pointed out a picture on the opposite side of the wall showing a group of lawn bowlers on opening day in 1905. A picture of hockey players dating back to 1913 also illustrates the long history of this institution. Ken explains that the original sports at the Balmy Beach Club were lawn bowling and canoeing, and all the other sports were added gradually over the years. We then headed downstairs where Ken showed me two squash courts as well as the well-equipped fitness room that is available to the fitness members. Wherever you look, walls are adorned with historical pictures, certificates, medals and plaques; there simply is not enough wall space at the Balmy Beach Club to display all the significant mementos that have accumulated over the years.

Our official tour had concluded and Ken took me back upstairs. In addition to the club’s history I was also interested in some of the individuals that make this club run. I had already talked to the president, Chris Buckley, and I thought I’d find out a bit more about the historian himself. Ken Bingham was born right in the area and spent 25 years of his life living on Fernwood Park. He joined the Balmy Beach Club in 1950 and is also one of the lifetime members. Prior to his retirement he used to work at Inco’s head office, a company that also generously sponsored some of the trophy cases, a big TV screen and several filing cabinets for the club.

Ken introduced me to two long-term Balmy Beach Club members and handed me over to his colleagues as he had to go. The famous Jim Mossmann, four-time Canadian Olympic coach, has been a member for an unbelievable 72 years. Naturally he was also inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame for his athletic achievements. Today he says he lives in a condo close by and mainly comes down here to socialize.

Another long-term member, John McCullough, was just inducted as a lifetime member last night. He has been a member since 1943. His friends were joking and referred to him as a walking encyclopedia. John says that today he spends much of his time golfing, lawn-bowling and curling. He has been retired for 23 years, and the Balmy Beach Club has become an important anchor for his social life.

The friendly face behind the bar is Jamie Reynolds, also a Balmy Beach Club member and the maintenance manager. Jamie is also responsible for ordering the supplies, the drinks and snacks for the bar. The Balmy Beach Club is a licensed establishment and serves quick snacks and pre-made sandwiches. Jamie has been a member since 1964, started off paddling, then played rugby from 1967 to 1987. Today Jamie is a talented lawn bowler. He explains that the natural sequence of sports at the Balmy Beach Club starts with paddling, then moves on to rugby and hockey, and finally ends with lawn bowling in people’s later years. An entire lifetime of sports and social activities is available at the Balmy Beach Club.

Another true fixture at the Balmy Beach Club is Barb Kelly, who works part-time in the club’s administration since she retired from her long-term job with a paper mill. Barb Kelly is also a life-time member and joined the club in the mid 1970s. She has been on the Board of Directors for the last 12 years and was the first female on the board. Originally the Balmy Beach Club was closed to women as there were no lockers or showers for females, and finally opened its doors to females in the 1970s.

Barb has been paddling since she was a child, and on May 4, 2007 she will be inducted in the Balmy Beach Sports Hall of Fame as an athlete (she is an outstanding lawn bowler) and a major contributor of the club. Barb explained that eight times a year she runs a “Euchre Meat Roll” which is basically a fundraiser for her lawn-bowling team that involves a vacuum-packed piece of meat as a prize giveaway. Barb has participated in many dances and social events at the Balmy Beach Club since she was a young girl.

Last but not least I got a chance to meet the person who really runs the Balmy Beach Club: Charlene Provan is the General Manager of the club and is in charge of all operational matters which include staffing issues, facility rentals, administration, maintenance, volunteer coordination, security and well as set-ups and tear-downs for special events. Charlene mentioned that insurance costs in particular have risen incredibly over the last few years. Insurance now adds up to about $130.00 per player on the competitive rugby team. Canoeing/kayaking, on the other hand, requires expensive marine insurance. Charlene has worked here for eight years, and since she started insurance costs have actually tripled.

Charlene adds that the club is financially self-sufficient and has never asked for any funds from the city, who officially owns the land that the club is built on. She adds that the Balmy Beach Club is an important focal point for the community, a beautiful place to get away from it all, right here in the city. Charlene herself grew up in the Beach, attended local schools such as Williamson Road, Glen Ames and Malvern Collegiate Institute. She has raised her daughters here and for a number of years she worked at “Lido’s in the Beach”, a restaurant formerly owned by Lido Chilelli, founder of the Beaches Jazz Festival.

One of the things that Charlene has instituted at the club is a more inclusive policy. More than 30 years ago, the club was open to men only. After shower and locker facilities were installed for women, the club opened its doors to both genders. Things have changed substantially, and since Charlene arrived on the scene, she has introduced many family-friendly events such as Christmas parties, Easter egg hunts and Halloween events. Charlene has actively been working on broadening the appeal of the Balmy Beach Club and on making it accessible to a wider range of people. She has even added a wireless Internet connection to the club so members can come in and use their laptops from the comfort of their social club.

Considering all this history and the people behind it, the club is definitely the ‘Legend by the Lake”, and in Charlene’s words it is the “best kept secret in Toronto”.

This article is about “Firefly lyrics pairs”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Firefly lyrics pairs”:

Have you ever needed to perform search / replace operations on multiple files in a folder and all its subfolders? Have you ever needed to search / replace text in a list of files? How about carrying out multiple search / replace operations on a single file based on search / replace pairs specified in a text file? This article shows how to do each of these common search / replace operations using TEXTools–and believe it or not–in only 7 lines of batch code!

To carry out each of these tasks, we’ll be utilizing TEXTools (TCL.exe) from a batch file. TEXTools is the perfect compliment to batch file programming as it greatly extends the power of batch files. Without implementing a single for loop, a TEXTools endowed batch file can nonetheless easily process multiple files. This is made possible because batch files can be constructed on-the-fly by another batch file and then called by that batch file, (its kind of like a train that builds its track as it goes). The reason that a for loop isn’t needed here to process multiple files is simply because TEXTools can take a list of files that need to be processed and translate that list into a batch file that, when run, results in the processing of each of the files. For example, suppose we wanted to carry out some relatively complex text editing operations on the following list of files:

myfile.txt

yourfile.txt

theirfile.txt

…

One way to do this would be to place the editing logic into a batch file called procfile.bat and then process each file–one after the other–using procfile.bat like this:

procfile.bat myfile.txt

procfile.bat yourfile.txt

procfile.bat theirfile.txt

…

That’s great if you only have 3 files, but what if you have 100 or even 1000 files to process? That’s where TEXTools comes into the picture. If batch files are just text and they can be constructed on-the-fly, then why not use TEXTools to turn our list of filenames into a batch file that, when run, results in the processing of each of the files? If a batch file like procfile.bat is going to be employed in the process anyway, then we’re already half-way to our goal. What we want is for the list of file names to be preceded by “procfile.bat” with one change–procfile.bat needs to be called. Now we have a batch file that will do all the work for us:

call procfile.bat myfile.txt

call procfile.bat yourfile.txt

call procfile.bat theirfile.txt

…

Of course, this is the kind of thing that TEXTools excels at doing. Adding the text, “call procfile.bat ” to the front of every line in a text file containing hundreds of file names–in order to create and execute an on-the-fly batch file is a snap:

type ListOfFiles.txt | tcl InsStr 1 ‘call procfile.bat ‘ >t$1.bat

call t$1.bat

We’re now ready to tackle our assignment except for one missing puzzle piece. We need our procfile.bat. Ours needs to take as arguments a file name, a search text and a replacement text:

ProcFile

Internally, ProcFile.bat will edit the given file by replacing all occurrences of with inside the file. Fundamentally, this could be done with just two lines of code (under Windows 95 and 98, etc. this could be done in a single line without the need of a temporary intermediate file):

type %1 | tcl “ReplStr ‘%2′ ‘%3′” >t$1.txt

type t$1.txt >%1

In reality, we need a bit more than this though. What if the search text or replacement text is specified having embedded blanks? This can only be done at the command prompt by using surrounding double-quotes like so:

ProcFile myfile.txt “red car” “blue car”

The problem is that these surrounding double-quotes are part of the parameter as far as Windows is concerned. As far as we’re concerned however, they’re not and so we must get rid of them. Again, this is a simple matter using TEXTools:

echo %2| tcl “ReplStr ‘#22′ ” | InsStr 1 ‘set search=’” >t$1.bat

echo %3| tcl “ReplStr ‘#22′ ” | InsStr 1 ‘set replace=’” >>t$1.bat

call t$1.bat

These three magical lines simply remove the surrounding double-quotes from each of the search / replace parameters that are passed into ProcFile. Not that the parameters themselves are altered in any way. Their unquoted contents are merely copied into environment variables! Note again the use of an on-the-fly batch file to accomplish this. Laying down tracks…

So now, our ProcFile.bat looks something like this:

:: Remove any surrounding double-quotes from the search/replace text…

echo %2| tcl “ReplStr ‘#22′ ” | InsStr 1 ‘set search=’” >t$1.bat

echo %3| tcl “ReplStr ‘#22′ ” | InsStr 1 ‘set replace=’” >>t$1.bat

call t$1.bat

:: Perform text replacements on this file…

type %1 | tcl “ReplStr ‘%search%’ ‘%replace%’” >t$1.txt

type t$1.txt >%1

Bear in-mind that this is a bare-bones implementation of ProcFile.bat. Normally, you’d include some logic to abort execution if all parameters weren’t supplied, etc. but this is just a demonstration. For the actual batch files, see the “Search and Replace” examples available in the TEXTools download package (installed beneath the “Sample Scripts” folder) and also available online at [http://www.fireflysoftware.comTEXToolsexamples.htm]. Now, on to bigger and better things…

Using a Recursive File Search

Now that we have a batch file that performs text replacements on a single file, how can we employ it to process all files in a given folder and its subfolders? The key to this lies in the DIR command. When used with the /b and /s switches, the DIR command lists (fully qualified) all files in a folder (and all its subfolders) that match a given file specification. Imagine that… a list of all the files in a given folder and its subfolders that match say, the file specification, “work*.txt”! In practical terms that translates into a gem like this:

dir %1 /b /s | tcl “InsStr 1 ‘call ProcFile.bat #22′ | AppendStr ‘#22 %2 %3′” >t$2.bat

call t$2.bat

Here’s a batch file (say, “Recursive.bat”) that can be called as follows:

Recursive work*.txt “this” “that”

Here, it would replace all instances of “this” with “that” in all files (in the current folder and subfolders) matching “work*.txt”. Not bad for 7 lines of batch code, eh?

Using a List of Files

If the files to be edited are listed in a text file, the batch code needed to process them is almost identical to the above:

type %1 | tcl “InsStr 1 ‘call ProcFile.bat #22′ | AppendStr ‘#22 %2 %3′” >t$2.bat

call t$2.bat

The only difference is in where the list of files originates. With this approach, all you need is a list of files in a text file to process. Such a batch file might be called like this:

ProcFileList FileList.txt “this” “that”

This would replace all instances of “this” with “that” in all of the files listed in FileList.txt.

Using a List of Replacements

This last example of search and replace performs multiple edits on a single file by utilizing a file containing multiple search / replace pairs. Again, a call to ProcFile is all that is needed:

type %2 | tcl “InsStr 1 ‘call ProcFile.bat %1 ‘” >t$2.bat

call t$2.bat

Such a batch file as this might be called ProcReplList.bat. Here’s how it would be called to perform multiple search / replacement operations on MyFile.txt using the search / replace pairs found in Replacements.txt:

ProcReplList MyFile.txt Replacements.txt

Note: Each of the above search / replace examples can be found online at [http://www.fireflysoftware.comTEXToolsexamples.htm] or inside the TEXTools download package, (installed beneath the “Sample Scripts” folder).

This article is about “Airfare trends to france”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Airfare trends to france”:

A critical part of the travel budget is transportation and this often includes airfare. The frugal traveler does more than keep an eye out on the internet for discounted flights. He or she looks for more creative ways to stretch the travel dollars.

Using Free Stop Overs

When the hubby and I traveled to Australia the first time, we flew Air New Zealand. Why? Because the airline offered a free stop over in their hub in New Zealand. We had never seen the country and were planning to tour it anyway. This way, we didn’t have to pay for airfare to and from.

The second time, we traveled to Australia, we flew Air Tahiti Nui. This airline offered, you guessed it, a free stop over in Tahiti on the way to or back. Another place we always wanted to visit.

Hidden Cities

Free stop overs are a benefit openly offered by some airlines. Hidden cities are not only unadvertised but are actively discouraged by the airlines. However they can be great savings for the frugal traveler.

An example of this is a trip from New York City to Las Vegas. Sometimes a flight from New York City to Los Angeles is less expensive, even though this same flight stops in Las Vegas to pick up more passengers. So what is to stop the frugal traveler from getting off early, at the destination he or she really wants to visit?

A few things… Luggage will be sent to the ticketed destination so this trick is for carry on only passengers. Also the flyer must remember that the return ticket should start at his or her real destination.

Getting Bumped

For the flexible, easy going traveler, being bumped for a flight is like winning the travel lottery. There is usually compensation plus you’re allowing someone else, who really needs to, to get to his or her destination on time.

Travelers knowing the rules know the compensation offered (check the carriers website), know the next flights out (be wary of carriers with once a week flights), and can weigh that against the pain of disrupted plans. The hubby and I always decide before arriving at the airport (early so we have a boarding pass to give up) whether or not it’s worth it. That way we can be the first to offer up our seats.

There are ways to increase the chance of being bumped, the simplest being booking an already quite full flight (usually a flight later on in the day).

Air travel doesn’t have to blow a travel budget. With some monitoring of discount sites and using some creativity, the frugal traveler can receive more for less.

This article is about “Take that patience piano music”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Take that patience piano music”:

Perhaps you’re wondering what are the best easy piano songs to learn? Now that you’ve covered the basic piano instruction, you’re probably ready to start playing familiar easy tunes. We have a few popular songs available such as: “Chopsticks”, “The Entertainer”, “Jingle Bells” and more. All these pieces are all ideal for beginning piano and keyboard players.

Depending on your skill level it’s not always easy to find the best easy piano songs to get started. Some pieces may be too hard, others too easy, or you may not like the choices available. Either way, it’s better to start with any song as long as it is within your level. Remember that the more you develop your piano skills, the easier it will be to find a wider selection to choose from.

When choosing from the best easy piano songs, your favorite song may not be your best option. You should start with the easiest song within your level and gradually move up to more challenging pieces. Start by learning the right hand a few times until you can play it well and with a steady rhythm. Then learn the left hand, and finally play both hands together. If you try to play both hands at the same time, it will take you longer; you’ll make more mistakes and probably will get more frustrated.

Patience is a key factor in your piano practicing and it will pay off if you apply it properly and regularly. Learning music is a discipline and you need to treat it as such. Try to practice the same days and at the same time as much as possible, this will help you to develop a good practice routine and see positive results faster.

Today, more than ever, it’s possible to teach yourself piano, however don’t forget to use a lesson book or online course as your guide. Learning and practicing piano in a proper and organized manner is the best way to achieve your musical goals. These courses and tutorials guide you step by step, clarifying any doubts you may have and avoiding the development of bad habits that you may not be aware of.

As you practice through these best easy piano songs, remember to use the correct fingers and hand position. In some of these songs you can keep your hands in one position. Other songs require you to move your hands up and down in different positions, particularly the right hand. Playing the pieces you like is a great incentive to keep practicing and improving your piano skills.

This article is about “Patience organ chords”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Patience organ chords”:

Many people are aspiring to learn how to play the guitar. The guitar has risen into a certain level of popularity that it has become a symbol of talent, creativity and “coolness.”

However, learning how to play the guitar is no joke. Learning to play the instrument requires one to learn how to play the chords. This article tries to give some helpful tips to individuals who would want to learn how to play guitar chords.

1. Get a chord chart

Playing guitar chords is just like playing chords in an organ. If one is learning to play the guitar alone (without a teacher), having a guitar chord book is his best bet. A guitar chord book demonstrates the different finger positions when playing different types of chords. The pressed strings are usually depicted with dots and the strings which are not supposed to be plucked are marked with an “x.”

A chord book is a beginner’s best friend. Memorizing chords without the help of a guitar teacher will be an impossible task if not for the chord book.

2. One at a time

There are dozens and dozens of different guitar chords which show themselves in different formations. Trying to memorize them in a single blow is close to impossible. Learning how to play guitar chords requires patience and lots of practice. Try practicing three chords that are can be played together (ex. A-E-D) on a single day and try to familiarize oneself with the transition between these chords. Don’t try to take every chord in one sitting, it simply can’t be done.

3. Be aware of the right hand

An important thing to remember when learning how to play guitar chords is that the movement of the right hand is as important as the movement of the left hand. Most beginners would find themselves taking breaks in strumming until the left hand positions itself properly for the next chord. This is normal during the first few day of practice, but at some point, the right hand should dictate the tempo of the movements of both hands. Strumming or plucking shouldn’t be delayed.

4. Listen to guitar-intensive songs whenever possible

One should learn how to play the guitar with some inspiration at the back of his head. Listening to good guitar players will give one some idea of where he would want to go in the future.

5. Learn the different forms of chords

As stated earlier, guitar chords present themselves in various forms. One should be familiar with the different forms so as to bring flexibility in to playing. One popular form of chords which is widely used in rock music is the “power chords” they are simply and heavy-sounding.

Playing guitar chords is not as hard as one would think. Learning to play guitar chords is a basic and essential part of guitar playing, it lays down the foundation of good guitar playing skills. If one has the perseverance and the passion to play the guitar, he will eventually learn how to play the chords and advance into more intricate lessons.

This article is about ” number of sanskrit speakers in the world”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about ” number of sanskrit speakers in the world”:

Which is the best language to learn? Which is the easiest?

Two different questions, often uttered in the same breath. But that’s okay, because there will be only one answer. Whichever language you wholeheartedly choose to study will be both the best and the easiest. However, here’s some help choosing.

The choices.

Here is the Modern Language Association’s 2002 list of the most commonly studied languages at university level in the United States. I have not included ancient languages like Latin, Biblical Hebrew, or Sanskrit, special purposes languages like American Sign Language, or U.S. heritage languages, like Hawaiian or Navajo since the choice of those languages follows a different dynamic:

1. Spanish

2. French

3. German

4. Italian

5. Japanese

6. Chinese

7. Russian

8. Arabic

9. Modern Hebrew

10. Portuguese

11. Korean

12. Vietnamese

13. Hindi/Urdu

14. Swahili

Difficulty, according to Uncle Sam

First, consider some cold facts. The U.S. State Department groups languages for the diplomatic service according to learning difficulty:

Category 1. The “easiest” languages for speakers of English, requiring 600 hours of classwork for minimal proficiency: the Latin and Germanic languages. However, German itself requires a bit more time, 750 hours, because of its complex grammar.

Category 2. Medium, requiring 1100 hours of classwork: Slavic languages, Turkic languages, other Indo-Europeans such as Persian and Hindi, and some non-Indo-Europeans such as Georgian, Hebrew and many African languages. Swahili is ranked easier than the rest, at 900 hours.

Category 3. Difficult, requiring 2200 hours of study: Arabic, Japanese, Korean and the Chinese languages.

Will you get a chance to practice this language?

Now, consider another important factor: accessibility. To be a successful learner you need the chance to hear, read and speak the language in a natural environment. Language learning takes an enormous amount of concentration and repetition, which cannot be done entirely in the classroom. Will you have access to the language where you live, work and travel?

The 14 most popular courses according to a combination of linguistic ease and accessibility.

1. Spanish. Category One. The straightforward grammar is familiar and regular. It is also ubiquitous in the Americas, the only foreign language with a major presence in the insular linguistic environment of the U.S. Chances to speak and hear it abound. It is the overwhelming favorite, accounting for more than fifty percent of language study enrollment in the MLA study.

2. French. Category One. Grammatically complex but not difficult to learn because so many of it’s words have entered English. For this vocabulary affinity, it is easy to attain an advanced level, especially in reading. It is a world language, and a motivated learner will find this language on the internet, in films and music.

3. German. Category One Plus. The syntax and grammar rules are complex with noun declensions a major problem. It is the easiest language to begin speaking, with a basic vocabulary akin to English. Abstract, advanced language differs markedly, though, where English opts for Latin terms. It values clear enunciation, so listening comprehension is not difficult.

4. Italian. Category One. It has the same simple grammar rules as Spanish, a familiar vocabulary and the clearest enunciation among Latin languages (along with Romanian). Italian skills are easily transferable to French or Spanish. You might need to go to Italy to practice it, but there are worse things that could happen to you. It is also encountered in the world of opera and classical music.

5. Russian. Category Two. This highly inflected language, with declensions, is fairly difficult to learn. The Cyrillic alphabet is not particularly difficult, however, and once you can read the language, the numerous borrowings from French and other western languages are a pleasant surprise. It is increasingly accessible.

6. Arabic. Category Three. Arabic is spoken in dozens of countries, but the many national dialects can be mutually incomprehensible. It has only three vowels, but includes some consonants that don’t exist in English. The alphabet is a formidable obstacle, and good calligraphy is highly valued and difficult to perfect. Vowels are not normally written (except in children’s books) and this can be an obstacle for reading. It is ubiquitous in the Muslim world and opportunities exist to practice it at every level of formality.

7. Portuguese. Category One. One of the most widely spoken languages in the world is often overlooked. It has a familiar Latin grammar and vocabulary, though the phonetics may take some getting used to.

8. Swahili. Category Two Minus. It includes many borrowings from Arabic, Persian, English and French. It is a Bantu language of Central Africa, but has lost the difficult Bantu “tones”. The sound system is familiar, and it is written using the Latin alphabet. One major grammatical consideration is the division of nouns into sixteen classes, each with a different prefix. However, the classes are not arbitrary, and are predictable.

9. Hindi/Urdu. Category Two. The Hindustani language, an Indo-European language, includes both Hindi and Urdu. It has an enormous number of consonants and vowels, making distinctions between phonemes that an English speaker will have difficulty hearing. Words often have clipped endings, further complicating comprehension. Hindi uses many Sanskrit loans and Urdu uses many Persian/Arabic loans, meaning that a large vocabulary must be mastered. Hindi uses the phonetically precise Devanagari script, created specifically for the language. Predictably, Urdu’s use of a borrowed Persian/Arabic script leads to some approximation in the writing system.

10. Modern Hebrew. Category Two. Revived as a living language during the nineteenth century, it has taken on characteristics of many languages of the Jewish diaspora. The resultant language has become regularized in grammar and syntax, and the vocabulary has absorbed many loan words, especially from Yiddish, English and Arabic. The alphabet has both print and script forms, with five vowels, not normally marked. Vowel marking, or pointing, is quite complex when it does occur. Sounds can be difficult to reproduce in their subtleties and a certain amount of liaison makes listening comprehension problematic. It is not very accessible outside of a religious or Israeli context.

11. Japanese. Category Three. Difficult to learn, as the vocabulary is unfamiliar, and the requirements of the sound system so strict that even the many words that have been borrowed from English, French and German will seem unrecognizable. With three different writing systems, it is forbiddingly difficult to read and write. Also, social constraints may impede useful interaction.

12. Chinese. Category Three. Whether your choice is Mandarin or Cantonese (the MLA survey does not make a distinction, oddly enough). It is the most difficult language on this list. It includes all of the most difficult aspects: unfamiliar phonemes, a large number of tones, an extremely complex writing system, and an equally unfamiliar vocabulary. Personal motivation is absolutely essential to keep the student on track. On the positive side, it is easy to find, since Chinese communities exist throughout the world, and Chinese language media, such as newspapers, films and TV, are present in all these communities.

13. Vietnamese. Category Three. This language belongs to an unfamiliar family of languages, but it does borrow much vocabulary from Chinese (helpful if you already speak Chinese!). It has six tones, and a grammar with an unfamiliar logic. It’s not all bleak, however, Vietnamese uses a Latin derived alphabet. The chances of speaking this language are not high, though there are 3 million speakers in the USA.

14. Korean. Category Three. Korean uses an alphabet of 24 symbols, which accurately represent 14 consonants and 10 vowels. However, the language also includes 2000 commonly used Chinese characters for literary writing and formal documents. Speech levels and honorifics complicate the learning of vocabulary, and there is liaison between words, making them hard to distinguish. The grammar is not overly complicated and there are no tones. It borrows many Chinese words, but the language is unrelated to other languages of Asia.

The most important factor of all: personal motivation

The third, most important factor is up to you. The easiest language to learn is the one that you are most motivated to learn, the one you enjoy speaking, the one with the culture that inspires you and the history that touches you spiritually. It is useless to try to learn a language if you are not interested in the people who speak it, since learning a language involves participating in its behaviors and identifying with its people.

So, consider all three factors: motivation, accessibility and linguistic ease, in that order, and come up with the final list yourself. The bad news is that no language is really easy to learn, but the good news is that we humans are hard wired for a great amount of linguistic flexibility, as long as we know how to turn on the learning process. If the rewards and benefits of the language are clear to you, you will be able to get those rusty language synapses sparking in your head and start the words rolling. Bonne chance!

It is absolutely logical that the number of liberals will decline very fast. The only whites who can survive are those who don’t mix. And when we look at the numbers of none-whites the only ones who will not mix are race-realists. … F’r instance, the Asian languages are generally agreed to be extremely difficult for non-native speakers to manage, as is the ancient language of Sanskrit. German is also difficult, as are its derivitives Dutch and Yiddish. …

So “multisyllabic” Indic names tend to get slaughtered. In Bangla we don’t put a stress on any syllables. French-speakers pronounce names differently as well. As they say, it is a mad, mad world! …. That is because Bengali owes a lot in terms of pronunciation to Pali which it is often considered closer to than to Sanskrit. Personally, I have no problems with close approximations. Look, I am not going to get Eyjafjallajökull right. But with long names, I’ll break it down …

India being “multinational”, this means that one language could very well be “foreign” for the others, and so (just as English at one time was resented as an imposition) Hindi becomes an imposition for, say, Tamil speakers. … This is probably unworkable in India though a strong case can be argued for Sanskrit. In Malaysia, unlike in India, linguistic and religious divisions coincide, and the national official language is that of the religious and linguistic majority. …
