This article is about “Elvis band and instruments”, you can find here a huge variety of articles about “Elvis band and instruments”:

You may be wondering when exactly did rock/pop music begin? There’s no clear answer to this. Some might say that it started with the advent of rock n roll with Bill Haley and the Comets in 1952. Others would say Elvis, although not the first but surely the original truly global superstar. Yet none of these were really the first. Rock n roll has its roots in blues which has its roots back to the 19th century with black immigrants trying to escape from their slave driven lives. Fast forward to the early 20th. century and some of the earliest recordings on 78 began to appear. Players from this time such as Bobby Jo and Robert Johnson helped to form the structure of early blues

Robert Johnson had recorded only thirty songs during his short life as he was prevented from achieving true fame while alive by being poisoned by a jealous husband. He died shortly before he was being sought to appear at the ‘Spirituals To Swing’ concert in 1938 by record producer John Hammond. As a result, his reputation only took off after Hammond released an album of his recordings for Columbia in the early sixties. Later blues exponents like Muddy Waters and Eric Clapton admitted borrowing heavily from these early stalwarts.

In the 50’s, artists took the basic blues style and used electric guitars, drums and double bass for the first time creating early rock n roll, later known as rockabilly. Stalwarts like Chuck Berry, Buddy Hollie and Jerry Lee Lewis were the most famous protagonists here. Later Elvis in the US and to a lesser extent, Cliff Richard (later leading the Shadows) in the UK brought rock n roll to a truly worldwide audience. This paved the way for the 60’s beat era which could be considered the true beginning of pop music as we know it today, certainly as far as bands were concerned.

In the 50’s and early 60’s, it was mostly lead solo artists with just a backing band. With the advent of the beat era, bands dominated with The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and the Beach Boys from the US taking the world by storm. Even so, The Beatles later admitted being heavily influenced by those earlier rock n roll and blues artists. They mostly played rock n roll and blues covers at their pre-fame Hamburg concerts. in the early 60’s. The Beatles however, were the first band to successfully blend classical music textures with rock n roll to form perfectly crafted pop songs. While bands like The Rolling Stones continued with the mainly rock n roll theme,

The Beatles took their finely crafted style further in the seminal album ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ in 1967 by utilizing new studio techniques and instruments never used before. They used a new instrument called ‘the Melotron’ This was basically a keyboard which played looped tape recordings. of real instruments. The most famous sound from this was probably the flute used on the ‘Strawberry Fields’ single recorded at the same time but later dropped from the album. The Melotron though, was cumbersome and unreliable and had a rather grainy sound. Even so It was regarded as the forerunner of the electronic sampler, invented nearly 20 years later. Infinitely more flexible than the Melotron, the sampler helped build the framework for modern pop, dance and R&B music.

The Beatles ‘Sgt.. Pepper’ album with its groundbreaking recording techniques was preceded the year before by their ‘Revolver’ album. These LP’s helped popularize a new wave in music known as psychedelic or acid rock, named after the mind bending effects of LSD drugs. Pink Floyd also recorded their debut album ‘Piper at the Gates of Dawn’ in the studio next door at the same time that The Beatles recorded Sgt. Pepper. It was reported that Pink Floyd were a direct influence to The Beatles as a result. This new style incorporated new guitar effects like Fuzz, flanger anger and delays. These were used along side the earliest portable synthesizers such as the therein and mini Moog. invented by Bob Moog.

In America, the Beach boys responded with the ‘Pet sounds’ LP in 1966 and later that year released the first big psychedelic hit ‘Good Vibrations’. About this time, the band ‘Jefferson Airplane’ recorded their debut album which was also the first LP to come out of the new San Franciscan music scene. This got the record industry’s attention and they had two of the earliest psychedelic hits ‘White Rabbit’ and ‘Somebody to Love’ in 1967.

Meanwhile in Los Angeles, Jim Morrison joined with members of The Psychedelic Rangers and Rick and the Ravens to form ‘The Doors’ They were initially turned down by Columbia but were signed to Electra Records and released their self titled debut LP in 1967. The album included the 7 minute long hit single ‘Light my Fire’ one of the first to break the typical three minute pop and rock song barrier.

Back in Britain, radio broadcasting was very limited because the BBC were the only organization allowed to broadcast on the mainland and had just two pop music shows The Saturday club and Easy Beat Radio Luxembourg partially filled the gap but it was left to pirate radio, broadcast from ships out at sea with DJ John Peel’ which enabled the new style to reach a mass audience, often eclipsing the BBC in popularity. The BBC responded in the end with the advent of Radio 1 in June 1967. With the existing labor government making pirate radio illegal in Britain several months later, Du’s like John Peel rather than risk arrest joined radio 1 which had a much more informal and relaxed style as opposed to the staid and conservative approach favored by the BBC until then. This perfectly suited psychedelic pop and rock and John Peel championed this in his late night shows. playing new genres of music and introducing new and unsigned bands in the Peel sessions. He did this for nearly four decades until his death in 2004.

By the end of the 60’s after the break up of the beatles, mainstream music was about to change direction yet again both in style and fashion.

This article is about “John wayne called beer”, we hope to bring more articles about “John wayne called beer” in the near future:

John Wayne (His father admired the movie star) Whitehead became a hippie who thought that all politicians were the epitome of phoniness and you could not trust them. He loved taking on the establishment during his college days.

John married a church-going Carol but continued on his self-indulgent ways, fixated on his own urges and desires. This is why he associated with Rick and Tom. But he also shot hoops with a kind of beefy guy who was not athletic at all and so John usually won. But this guy kept lifting up Jesus and over ten games found a way to lay out the entire plan of salvation in bits and pieces. John sneered at every element but it didn’t stop this missionary–he kept coming back for more. Later John bought The Late Great Planet Earth by Hal Lindsey because he thought it was a science fiction book. John was fascinated with Lindsey’s premise that the Bible’s prophecies came true and started to consider that just maybe the Bible was a competent source of information.

But John was not going to let this change his lifestyle. So on Thanksgiving 1974, John refused to go along to the families’ Thanksgiving festivities in Illinois and stayed home to work and party. On November 28th John was reading Matthew as a serious document about the life of Christ. But on the 29th he was ready to let loose at Rick’s house. Beer and smoking got the party going. Then John began to get up tight. Rick tried to relax John and they began playing cards. Then Rick began to speak to John without moving his lips in a “mind voice,” a form of telepathy. “John, there’s more to life than what you see. There’s spiritual power higher and stronger than us. He can help you in many ways.” John also responded without using his voice: “Who are you talking about?” And the answer snapped him awake: “Satan.” In John’s haste to leave, John’s crucifix flipped outside of his shirt causing the other three to forcefully turn away their heads. They could not look at the cross. John was begged to stay but left the room and began walking down the driveway into the street of this middle-class subdivision. Rick and Tom knew it was too cold for John to walk all the way home and soon pulled up beside him. “We can’t let you walk home…We need to talk.” In the car the smell of sulfur was stifling and again John heard a mind voice: “John, you have to let things go…If you stick with us, you can do well. You won’t have any worries.”

John responded to this by looking up to the sky and saying, “Jesus Christ, You are my Savior.” Suddenly he was enveloped by a strong but benevolent rush and an amazing feeling poured over him like warm milk flowing down his throat. He accepted this as the Spirit of God rushing through his body. At this same time, Rick and Tom began to moan audibly, as if they were in pain. Then John amazed himself by saying, “You need to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Repent and believe on Christ and you’ll be saved.” There was silence so John repeated it again. John got out at his house. There was no friendly goodbyes.

Now John wanted to phone Carol. “I’ve become a Christian. I’ve accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior.” Carol was stunned and finally said, “Are you drunk?” “No, this is for real. I’m flying to Peoria tomorrow.” John was feeling full of energy so he next called a minister he had spoken to earlier. When John told him that he believed in Jesus Christ, the minister responded: “I’ve never believed in Jesus Christ. All that stuff is just a myth.” John tried one more call to his dad to end the evening on a more positive note. His Dad’s voice was full of cynicism: “Sure you are. You’re a Christian lawyer who helps all those people get a divorce. Really sounds like a Christian thing to me.” But in the morning, John knew he had changed when he felt no longing for his former habits.

John is still helping those abused by authority. He has represented other victims of sexual harassment and even a gay man, beat up as he was leaving a restaurant. John feels that God is using him and accepts criticisms without holding grudges. He wants to be free to do the much work to be done.

This article is about “Best place to pick up girls in Paris”, we hope to bring more articles about “Best place to pick up girls in Paris” in the near future:

Online dating is a multi-million dollar business, but for my money, IÂ’d rather meet girls the natural way: out and about, in real-life situations. Not the bar, not the club. Just natural, fun ways that get both of you participating and talking about common interests and acquaintances.

Think thatÂ’s not possible? Au contraire. There are LOTS of great places to meet girls that donÂ’t involve shelling out $75 a night for drinks or $30 just to get into a club. I met my girlfriend of the last two years on a tour through Berlin, and I know another guy who met his wife in his economics class. In both cases, we guys didnÂ’t EXPECT anything to happen, and that was key. Remember, when youÂ’re not looking, thatÂ’s when girls tend to show up! Expect the unexpected.

Besides this fact, girls LOVE to have a romantic story about how they met you. Believe me, theyÂ’d rather say that they met you in a one-in-a-million chance encounter in Paris than in a club, dancing to raunchy music. You have to appeal to their romantic sensibilities. Just look at all the Hollywood movies, like “Sleepless in Seattle”, where girls meet guys on the radio, on the Empire State Building, in places you generally WOULDNÂ’T EXPECT TO MEET.

It’s a fundamental rule: Girls don’t want the everyday, the routine, the expected. They want the unexpected, the unlikely, the unbelievable. They want something special they can tell all their friends, and that’s why looking—or rather, NOT actively looking—outside the regular venues is a winning idea.

So what are some places I recommend for meeting the love of your life? Well, of course you canÂ’t HAVE the attitude that youÂ’re looking; just play it cool, and be patient. I recommend the following five places:

Abroad. While travelling solo can work, itÂ’s even better to go on a tour. Instant access to lots of girls travelling alone (or with a friend), and wanting to find a man of their own. Tours are GREAT ways for meeting chicks. And no matter where youÂ’re from, there are SO many benefits to going to a country carrying a foreign accent.

At work. I ONLY recommend this if you are not in the same exact office together; you need some distance between you in case things go south. NEVER go for a girl who works 5 feet away from you; it will just create too many problems. My best friendÂ’s messy relationship with an office mate proves this! But I dated a girl who worked in another department, and the break-up was fine; no messy office problems, no anxiety in the workplace. So if the attraction is there, right along with the distance, work offers a bounty of potential mates.

Evening Classes. Doesn’t get much easier than this. Social network? Check. You’re in the class, you get to know people, you’re all it in together. Something in common with the girl? Duh. Double check! Easy conversations—talk about the class, your dreams, what you’re doing here, etc. There are many other advantages, as well, but I think you can see how classes are a great way to find a girl. The best ones are those that only last 5-10 weeks—that way if you do go out with a classmate and things go sour, you won’t have to see her for long afterwards!

Through friends and family. In a “Sex in America” study, it was found that roughly two-thirds of the marrying couples met through mutual friends, coworkers, or family members. Never underestimate the value of using your friends, family, and even work acquaintances and classmates to find you a special someone. The best example I can think of is my good friend Rick, who met his wife through mutual friends. The two have been madly in love for 6 years and married for just over one year, and itÂ’s still going great. Clearly there is value in using your “human resources” to find a girlfriend, or even wife.

Random places. As you know from my blog on Expectations, often the best relationships are created when youÂ’re not looking. For example, on a night when I wasnÂ’t even on the prowl, I met a girl I would date for two years while waiting for the NYC subway! And I met another girlfriend on a bus in Australia. You may only meet her for five minutes, but big things can happen from small moments. Life is crazy, so embrace the unpredictability of it all!

This should help all of you out there wanting to know how and where to meet more women. Good luck, and remember: the less you look, the more you find! Go to one of these places relaxed and not desperate, and you may not even have to look. Your dream girl might just come and find YOU.

This article is about “Great pickup bars nyc”, we hope to bring more articles about “Great pickup bars nyc” in the near future:

So what are some places I recommend for meeting the love of your life? Well, of course you canÂ’t HAVE the attitude that youÂ’re looking; just play it cool, and be patient. I recommend the following five places:
