I have tried many different language software available on the market and some only available to corporations. Heck I have even taken college courses to try and learn another language. Granted they could all be very effective, but they were long and what seemed to be unending and I almost gave up learning another language. However I have finally come across some language software that I actually found useful. More than useful, I actually enjoyed using it, and I learned a new language fast!
With the other software and college courses combined, I probably spent over $2,000 and a good 2 years of my life and I did not have much to show for it. Yes I could carry on a basic conversation, I could read most of it, write a good portion of it but it I still was not confident I knew the language. I had to ask people to repeat what they said, which is very embarrassing. Had to scramble around on the internet to find out what different words were that I did not know. The list could be endless of what I felt like I was missing. Then it changed . . .
During a conference I had to go to in California, there was an international banker at my table. He was gloating about how he learned a language in 8 weeks, how it was easy, ECT. I was thinking he was full of it, until he pulled over his laptop and allowed me to take the first lessons. Now my native language is English, and prior to that I had taken classes and other courses in German. But I tried French since it was the language he had open. To my amazement I learned the equivalent of about 4 German classes (about 8 hours) of information in that French course, in the 2 hours of playing with the software. After that I was hooked and bought the software.

I was almost angry because here I spent literally a fraction of the price for more information then all of the other software I have used and owned combined. I wish I had found them sooner so I could have saved all of that time and money.
Now that I have learned 2 different languages, and can speak them fluently and confidently, I make more money at my job. Who knew that just by spending 8 weeks learning another language I could get a raise at my job! Actually I did, because that was my original goal for spending the $2,000 and 2 good years of my life.
